LOL I usually open every Blu I get as soon as I get in the car. Got to make sure the correct disc(s) are in there and nothing is scratched!

They ship it immediately but you will be expected to ship the defective product soon.

See, I do that kind of thing all the time. I'll go into a store, buy a few films, CDs, or books, and have them open by the time I get home. In fact, I recently bought the 20th anniversary edition of Timothy Zahn's "Heir to the Empire", and it is freakin' awesome!!! Beautiful silver dust jacket, with the original artwork screened onto the front of the book itself, in glossy monochrome. My inner geek just started cheering.

Sucks that there are no trailers on here. Clearly they're going to do something else down the line with them...and probably the old, non-adulterated theatrical versions.

And what's up with no easter eggs having been found yet....

While I didn't rip the package open once I got in the car, I went from cursing Lucas' name and swearing off this release a couple weeks back after seeing the "NOOOOOOOOO" footage online to actually buying it this morning. Do I qualify for fandom geek status too?

I've always made it a habit to "edit" films simply by muting during "scary" parts and having my (younger) kids close their eyes.

In fact, I took my son when he was 5 to see Ep2 in theaters, and have him close his eyes when Jango loses his head and other "scary" or violent parts he didn't need to see.

Now my kids are older and they pretty much see it all and, in a sense, enjoy seeing those parts I edited out.

(edit) I let my 2nd son see Ep4 when he was like 2 1/2 years old. When Obiwan gets killed - he said "where obiwan" over and over and over. He lay in bed that night, saying "where Obiwan" - as he went to sleep. The next day I showed him Obiwan in Ep 5 (as a force ghost) and told him - see Obiwan's ok - he did a "Jedi" trick! lol. He accepted that and all was fine at our home again. I was scared I messed him up that night before - he just loved SW as a youngster!

I like the PT( A lot more than most people on here. From what I can tell.). But to say people that dont like them are morons, is just plain stupid. Also, not liking the PT does not make the people "Not true fans". People have different taste.

My 5-year old has seen them all. He prefers Ep. I of course, and really likes Ep. II as well.

Oh, come on, even Michael Bay is ten times the director Lucas is. Lucas at one time was a hell of an idea man, though. THX-1138 and ANH were bursting with ideas. With the later films in the OT and the Indy films, working with people like Kasdan, Kershner, and Spielberg allowed Lucas to do what he does best, while those with strengths in writing and directing realized his ideas for him.

And my copy of the Complete Saga was just delivered!
