Great job by everyone who worked on any one of these movies. The technological advancement of movie making and story telling is totally unique to any franchise to ever grace the silver screen. Period.

I think ROTS is an excellent film...if you're eight-years-old.
I think AOTC is also quite good...if you're suffering from severe brain damage.

However, were it not for Jar Jar, TPM is actually servicable.

As for complainers.... **** 'em. This is the best Star Wars has ever been and ever will be.
No offense but you tend to constitute old outdated masters with digital tweaking like DNR and EE to be good transfers because they look clean and lack grain. The majority of us in general don't see it that way and even the studios agree that grain is good hence the re-issues of many catalog tittles that were ****ed up the first time to please the misinformed crowd that thought movies on Blu-Ray should look like video games. ROTS aside, all the other Star Wars movies have transfer problems. In the case of the OT and TPM, there is loads of room for improvement too, so you are wrong about that.

Attack of the Clones is among the 5 worst movies ever made, imo. RotS is a masterpiece compared to it.

This is how I feel about TPM. minus Jar-Jar, it feels the most "Star Warsy." The A in AOTC should stand for atrocious, although the visuals of the Geonois battle are my favorite of the whole saga! While I appreciate the darker and more serious tone of ROTS, the acting, dialogue, and delivery of the story is cringe-worthy and not what it should have been. I have high hopes for the new trilogy tho, I'm pretty sure it'll be near perfect, and I think we will one day see a remake of the PT, at least.

If they remake one, they'll remake all of them. Doesn't make much sense otherwise.

I love DNR. Grain is an eye sore and makes my Blu-ray look like a ****ing VHS tape.

No. I like my picture to be clean and clear. If I wanted to see grain on my screen I'd run outside during a snow storm instead.

I'm fine with some grain but not when it's so heavy that is becomes a visual disturbance.

I do enjoy how butt hurt some of you get regarding these SW releases and Grain. It's rather entertaining.

Wow, if you really believe that then you should hook up a VHS player to your TV and compare it to a one of the blu-ray's you are referring to.

I actually have. The color is still a bit better with the Blu-ray but it's the grain that turns me off.

Love my DNR, can tolerate some grain, love this entire boxed set.

What I also enjoy are some of the people in this thread still complaining about this horrid release which they still own and still talk about. Think about that for a minute.

I'm totally serious. There's nothing about AotC I like. I know it's strange that I have a different opinion than you.

It's not that, there are clearly waaaaayyyyy more than five films that are worse, on every level, than AotC.

Re-reading my post again, I can see that my communication skills were lacking. I meant to say that Attack of the Clones is one of the 5 worst movies I've ever seen. Despite my facetious signature, I wasn't implying that it's objectively one of the worst films in history (although sometimes I feel like it comes close).

Thank you for your infinite wisdom! I am most appreciative.

Well, there are some movies that are as good as ROTS, such as AOTC!!!

Don't agree? I don't give a baker's shirt!

Making such a statement can never be accurate anyways.

It would be like comparing Shawn Lane to Jeff Beck.

Completely different styles, technique, etc., great in their own respect.

I don't compare SW to Terrence Malick films.

All I am saying is that I possess the seemingly rare ability to enjoy the Prequels just as much as the OT!

I love the whole Saga!!!!!

ROTJ clearly being the weak link, but it still has stuff greater than most other movies put together.

We will never agree here, so suck it up.

Not even the lightsaber battles? I am unable to accept that you hate every little aspect of the movie. Even if you dislike it you have to admit it was visually stunning.

I thought Sith is one of the best ones to be honest. The emotion and betrayal in the end really built up Darth Vader into the icon he is. I feel very different about Vader since I watched the saga in proper order (Ep I-VI).

Agreed. The weakest link of the Saga for me is Phantom Menace and even that is enjoyable if you don't compare it to the other films.

ROTJ is underrated. Nobody can sit there and tell me that the final battle between Luke & Vader wasn't epic as hell. I am also really glad they replaced the original Vader actor at the end with Hayden Christiensen's Anikin. I felt that brought everything together really well.

The only issue I have with ROTJ is how quick Boba Fett got taken out. But I am hoping Episode VII could focus on him and how he escaped the Sarlac pit. But that's wishful thinking on my part.

For those too lazy to do so... a 1982 rental VHS.

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/top...n/topic/14254/

Personally, I want all the detail and grain I can get in the source, if you want to watch softened DNR picture then adjust your TV/BD player accordingly, but removing it from the source ruins it for all of us.
