A few shots that are a tad noisy in the crimson reds, a few less than ideal blacks, but nothing to worry about! Just stunning!!!!!!!

The AQ is pretty sweet too, once you have turned the volume up to 11 that is!!

ROTS was the biggest let down IMO. Sure they are trying to make up for it with the Clone Wars cartoon but boy was it rushed. I had already read about Yoda and Sidious's battle and was expecting something like that. Only to be disappointed with their senate battle. These two were tearing down buildings and you put them in that tiny space??!! Common man.

Speaking of packed frames, Has anyone caught the group of e.t.'s sitting in their own little section during the senate meeting in ROTS? Also right as Obi-wan, Anakin, and Palpatine are approaching the landing in corrusant(where they are greeted by Mace Windu)before they land, you can see the millenium falcon cruising in for a landing.

I loved RotS when it first came out, but I have to admit that the bad acting really sticks out for me now (and the other prequels as well). I still like it - and I love the visual design, music, and overall sweep of the story - but I just wish a better actor's director had been at the wheel for it.

I only see E.Ts in TPM, not in ROTS. Are you sure there are any in ROTS?

The millenium falcon is very easy to spot. It's in the lower right of the frame, flying towards the landing platform.

Oh jeez, yes you are right, my fault, they are on Phantom Menace. I got mixed up a little.

ROTS is terrible. The acting is laughably bad, the CGI looks really outdated, the writing is bad and its just boring. Stunning Blu-Ray show piece, but a sloppy directed mess of a film.

The new sequel trilogy will correct the ways of the prequel trilogy by staying true to the formula of the OT in story, in character and in visual design with many more practical sets and live action stunts. It will be a natural faithful update, unlike the stupid prequels.

Wow, its that bad, but, a stunning bluray showpiece?? The cg on this movie is now 8 years old and holds up waaaaaaay better than about anything out now. And, will continue to do so well past the next generation of cg i suspect. There is absolutely nothing to correct in the prequel, let alone, the story or visual design. Is that even a serious statement? There was perfectly logical, sensible, reasons given for the visual design of the prequel trilogy. And the stunt team on the prequel did a superb job, there was hardly a shortage of live stunts, not to mention the insane training the actors went through to get the lightsaber fights down. How about the battle on Mustafar( duh) between Obi-wan and Anakin? Those aren't cg doubles swingin those sabers. And, how on earth do you know what the new sequel is, or isnt going to do? It will be a natural faithful update? Says who? Obviously your contempt for the prequel trilogy has skewed all rationality.

Its the only flawless Star Wars film in terms of picture quality on Blu-Ray, but that doesn't change my opinion on how bad the movie is. Its full of clunky awkward written dialog with poor acting which comes back to poor direction. Lucus has never been a peoples person, but he clearly got worse as he got older which is why the prequel trilogy features such dull flat performances because Lucus got lazier and just relied on green screens in controlled studio sets whist barking out redundant instructions from the side lines - "louder! Faster! More intense! Better!". The CGI looks like a worn out video game and does not hold up, least of all equalized what can be done today with genuine effort and care as well as technological advancement. Even the space scenes are way too over complicated with too much stuff just stocked up on screen. The models and miniature work of Return of The Jedi was much simpler but also much more effective visually.

I don't know if the new sequel trilogy is going to be a natural faithful update, at this point its more optermisem and hope then anything else, but they have killed 2 birds with 1 stone in that Lucus has little to do with the production and they have a talented lined up director with credentials in the bank who is also a big fan of the OT. Speculating that this will be a respectful nice update to the OT is not out of the question.

Mustafar ... not geonosis lol ... but the prequels were a "missed opportunity" I enjoy them but the story of Anakins fall should have been the end all be all of epic movies ... however I enjoy all of the movies and bring on the sequels!!!

Rewatched these for the first time since buying the set and I loved SW all over again. The PQ and AQ are untouchable. The new added FX were pretty good too. Nothing beats Episode III-VI.

As for complainers.... **** 'em. This is the best Star Wars has ever been and ever will be.

I agree

I grew up with IV, V, and VI and I totally love I, II, And III. I love all of them for what they are worth not what they are compared to another. Every one of them are different, Totally!

Great job by everyone who worked on any one of these movies. The technological advancement of movie making and story telling is totally unique to ANY franchise to ever grace the silver screen. PERIOD.

You should really try broadening your horizons. Try a Redbox sometime. With very little effort, you'll find thousands of movies that are better than ROTS.
