But Hayden has been decent in everything I've seen since. It's just a bad choice for a bad role, like the lead girls in Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street remakes. I hated both of them (the lead girls, not ness. the films) yet have seen them in other projects where I thought they were awesome. I can't go as far as awesome for Hayden, but he isn't a wooden POS in anything else I've seen since. Blame the writer(s), the actors never had a chance!

I'd agree with this sentiment, even though I haven't seen Hayden in anything else. I mean, look what Lucas did to frickin' Natalie Portman, one of the best actresses working today. To make her bad took mad skillz.

You know it's a bad script when Carrie Fisher can't even help save it, in spite of her contributions.

There is bad dialogue in the OT, but not to the level of the PT - by far. The majority of the true atrocities are to do with Padme, because Lucas simply has no understanding of women. He lucked out with Leia, because other than that he hasn't created a convincing female character in any film he has ever done (and even Leia was criticized at the time for being a "space *****", the character saved by the incredible chemistry of the cast and Carrie's irreverent personality).

I mean, this is a man who came up with the Sarlacc Pit, which really folks - is just a big vagina that eats you and digests you over thousands of years.

Great Jake, but "faster, more intense".

It is highly entertaining just how god awful GL made an Oscar league of actors by the likes of Portman, Jackson, and Neeson exude such boringness. Someone please name another movie where their performances weren't as dull and monotone. GL managed to take a team of very interesting actors and make them uninteresting; quite the feat.

They just had so many damned unanswered questions.
