I actually like Maul's voice. They got that right.

I think he just exudes "badass" by looking at him.

Not to mention Vader throws the warning "no disintegration' line - screams bad mofo to me.

Later on in Cloud City, Boba Fett, when you think about... kinda back talks Vader with the "What if he doesn't survive" and "he's no good to me dead" line. I don't see too many characters getting away with that without a chokehold.

I do agree with your latter statement on his portrayal in Jedi.

Let's be honest, we like how he originally sounds because that's what we grew up with. Kids growing up today with Morrison's voice are used to that now. Neither is better than the other, IMO.

In the end, it doesn't affect the film one way or the other like some of the changes. Just provides a bit of continuity is all.

The Special Editions are canon now and consistent with the prequels and I hope any new films are consistent with those, including Temuera Morrison's involvement as Boba and Jango. I still want the UOT but it's a standalone trilogy at this point.

That's how I feel as well. Made my peace with the changes and moved on. Really like how the Rebels cartoon series is blending things old and new together.

Definitely would love to get my hands on a great 4k scan of the UOT. Would enjoy seeing the versions I enjoyed so much in the theater back when. Maybe it happens some day.

Dude, that guy's the shit man. They didn't show it in the film, but he was the guy who went on to kill all those Bothans later on. All he had was a switchblade and it took like 30 of them to finally tackle him and get the Death Star plans.

You could be right, but I'm not 100% sure on that yet. I'm waiting to see the details on the supposed Fett film-- rumor has it he might be a different guy that takes over the suit. Theoretically it could explain why he doesn't sound like Jango if you're watching the UOT version.

It's semantics though anyway. I wouldn't say there was enough actual content changes to the films to matter which version is "canon." The alterations were mostly how the movies were represented visually.

While I think the Boba Fett Anthology film is an awful idea, I can totally see them casting a younger Temura Morrison-looking actor to play a younger Boba Fett.

I was assuming Boba Fett would be a nemesis in Rogue One. I don't think it makes much sense to do a solo film. I understand the popularity , but I don't think his own spinoff would be that exciting.

That being said, I recently watched the series again and these transfers are fantastic. I forgot how well they were done . Most of the changes I don't mind but then a couple of them were really stupid. You can't win.

It could be interesting if Boba himself had an unaltered clone made before he died and the Fett line continued on and on that way. There could be a new Fett for each generation/trilogy.

Ugh....
The only interesting/badass Fett was Jango, and he was killed in his debut!
I never understood the Boba Fett "love"

I had a friend whose favourite character in the whole Trilogy was Boba Fett...
It makes no sense...
Dude barely talks.
Looks like he shops at Wal*Mart/K*Mart and has one of the ugliest ships ever!

To top it all off.... He finally uses his jetpack and dies because of a tiny scratch on it!
Dude is nothing but a punk-@$$-b*tch... Thankfully he's dead and swallowed.

I'm sure they're somewhere but I'm really not holding my breath disney will ever do anything with them.

IF you haven't already you should check out the work team_negative1 is doing over at theoriginaltrilogy. I truly believe once they're finished it's the best we're probably ever gonna get.

Swallowed, yes, but perhaps not dead yet. He was swallowed only 32 years ago -- so he's got another 968 years of being digested yet to go ...

If it takes a 1000 years to be digested in the Sarlac Pit then after 32 years the digestive juices wouldn't have even penetrated Boba Fett's armor. At most he would have a few burns on his arms and legs.

I can live with the rest of the changes.
1. I don't see a problem with Boba's voice. He should sound like Jango.

2. I don't get the hate for this. Like it or not, Hayden played Anakin. As such, it makes sense to have him be in place of Shaw. It shows that he has been redeemed. If you don't like it, then you should be demanding that the ghost of Anakin be a burnt looking egg headed machine man ghost since that is the way he died.

3. Never understood the issue with this, but whatever. Don't care eitherway.

4. I hope you don't mean that god awful Ewok jingle.

I think the original voice has better acting and inflection, but even if it's simply what I grew up with I think that is still a valid reason to be annoyed by it. That's why most people are against revising art, they want it how it was originally made to be experienced and how they fell in love with it.
