I don't watch trailers ever.
I prefer going into a movie blind.
I want to enjoy it, or try to. I don't want my brain thinking about when a trailer scene will pop up, or call out to me that the scene in the trailer is different.
Nor do I want to have things spoiled on me.

Attack of the Clones... The trailer showed that the "Storm Troopers" were defending the Jedi.
Men in Black 2... One of the funniest jokes was in the trailer and it was played on tv so much that months later when the movie came out, the theater was completely silent when the joke was told.

Nope. I literally only know the title and even that I only know enough to recognise it, I couldn't tell you what it was called from memory if you asked. Not even sure when it's coming out.

I'm clearly not the biggest Star Wars fan in the world, but I'm sure there are others avoiding promotional materials in an effort to go in spoiler-free.

I beg to differ. The people who like those movies are a very vocal minority. The Disney trilogy so far is looked down on hard by most people.

Yeah TFA sucks because it's the same as other Star Wars movies. TLJ sucks because it's different from Star Wars movies.

That's the whole problem with the internet; unless it comes from a credible source, then it's most likely someone spreading misinformation. Just name a source; where did YOU hear this? (Even the "heavy re-shoots" is nothing but unsubstantiated rumor, BTW)
