Quite a nice collection you got there. I wish I had room to display all of my stuff. Right now it is all in big plastic containers tucked away.

Yeah. Well I had a storage..see the pics with the stuff in the boxes? I have tons of other things in the boxes that don't fit either..so I can only display a limited amount. Its hard to display everything..what you see is like 50% of my stuff. the other is put in the boxes as tight as possible.

Well.... I guess that seals the deal. I may as well get started on the custom packaging now. That way I'll have it ready for when this set comes out, and I can promptly put the discs in the custom packaging and then pee all over that stupid book-box thing.

Yeah I've had it since it first came out. I love making him dance and sing the imperial march. So funny!

If that were true, we would have seamlessly branched discs with the original theatrical versions available.

Lucas is doing a nice job on this set, but don't think for one minute that he actually listens to his fan base. He's giving us what he wants to give us, which is not necessarily the same thing as giving us what we want.

I will give props to Lucas for one thing most don't: He's not really into the double-dip. There have really only been one DVD version of each Star Wars film. Sure, there have been a few packaging changes and different ways the films have been bundled by Fox, and briefly the theatrical versions' laserdisc transfers were made available as a "supplemental feature", but he really hasn't gone the Special Edition/Ultimate Edition/Force Edition/Yoda edition with green packaging etc... route. He tried putting out one DVD that was definitive for each film, and he did that. I think he's trying to do the same for blu-ray. I feel that, whatever we get this year, it will likely be the final word on this format, for better or worse.

This is Blu-ray.com, movies are a serious business

I hope I made enough smiley do indicate that I am joking? I don't want to be flamed by some serious posters in here

I like the packaging. I am not that big on the digibook look but I think they fit nice with the seasons of Clone Wars

I know. I gotta go to sleep. It was nice chatting with you all. I gotta admit the only reason I came to this site was because of this set. I'm not really a blu ray collector persay like all of you, because I rarely buy one. I have some, but I dont buy a release every week. I only buy the stuff I love. So i guess i'ma different member. take care.

Amazing what clicking on the star wars saga page on blu-ray.com will turn up. Wow, I am like a interwebs KING!

"Blu-ray is the absolute best way to experience Star Wars at home – in pristine high definition," said George Lucas. "The films have never looked or sounded better."

In an interview with the New York Times, Lucas said that the saga hadn't been announced before because he was waiting for mass adoption of the Blu-ray format. "We've been wanting to do it as soon as we possibly could, but we just wanted to do it when enough people would be able to buy it and see it," said the filmmaker.

I'd call them both Digibooks. To me at least it's a generic term along with Digipak (which is a brand name but now a generic term). I haven't had any first hand knowledge of the Alien Anthology style cases as we don't get them in the UK that often (or at all). They look a bit awkward to me and the downside to Digipak with more than one disc on a side is you always want the disc underneath which becomes a pain for clumsy people like me.

It's true, he doesn't. I heard him ragging on you a few weeks ago. Called you a neimoidian or something. It was really uncalled for, but I had your back.

Umm, no.

It was nominated for ten Oscars and won six. And that was just the tip of the award/nomination iceberg.

Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert both put it on their top ten lists.

It's one of the American Film Institute's Top 100 films.

By the end of 1977 domestic gross was close to two hundred million dollars.

Adults liked these stories just fine.
