Our theater owner is framing the set of Alice in Wonderland posters we recieved. We actually had a customer steal one from our lobby. If that helps to show how popular they are.

I bought my 1st Original poster from him being a spiderman 3 glossy. I was amazed at how vivid originals looked and since then I haven't looked back.

I'm excited because for the 1st time in a yr or so I just placed an order. I got the 3 Alice in wonderland posters that form 1 giant image. As well as an international Constantine, and an Original Grindhouse.

The grindhouse was marked down because of a slight tear. But IMO id rather have an original with a tear then a reprint with lack luster colors.
I also got the Alice In Wonderland posters from Jon, and have gone mad about buying posters, just got another order in from Jon. He is great to work with and I highly recommend buying from him! 5 stars!

My Alice In Wonderland posters are nestled safely in a bunker somewhere, in a nondisclosed location! LOL!

That looks pretty sweet. Wonder if it is an original? Jon will know. If so I'd love to have one of those too!

BTW if anyone needs frames Michale's is doing buy 1 get 1 free on Trendsetter frames. I never bought them before as they are normally $40 each which is kinda out of my price range for a frame. But at b1g1 its $20 each. They seem to be pretty good quality for someone looking for a sturdy frame and not willing to break the bank. Far superior to the Styleline frames i was currently using. I figure if im breaking the bank on all 3 Alice originals I might as well get better frames too so they dont slide down.

Sale ends the either sat or Sunday.

They were just on sale 40% off for the last 2 week. Also if you sign up for michael's, you get 25% off on sale items which bring it down to $10 total. So I was able to get a 22 x 28 frame for $11. Reallly good deal.

Pretty sure they do but avoid reprints at all costs!!
I ordered an Alien reprint because I wasn't about to frame my original. Took almost a month to get here and once it did I was shocked at the horrible quality of this poster. The lettering was blurry..almost like it had shifted during printing, and the color was horrid.
I almost thought that they didn't have any in stock and blew up an 8x10 to poster size, that's how bad it looked.

When I asked for a refund they gave me my money back and told me to keep the poster. Almost like they knew it was bad to begin with.

So now I resume my search for an Alien reprint without the green lettering on the bottom.

No apologies, trust me I am so far behind, it is I that owe my customers an apology. Having bronchitis as I type this and getting ready for a convention with the crappy Seattle weather, I hope to simply make it through the weekend. LOL!

Nothing available for Avatar, still trying, not many of them got out in the hands of dealers. Regarding the first Iron Man movie, yes I have both styles in stock, the advance glossy double-sided style, and the final style double-sided. I may have a few with some slight wear that I can offer cheaper, generally when I get posters in, there is usually one or two that have a ripple or a slight bend so I discount them. Contact me directly when you can and we can go from there.

I highly doubt I will see any for that film, there are a few other dealers who may have it, or you can always go the eBay route, but that would be the last resort if you know what I mean. Too many eBay sellers misrepresent their posters or simply don't have a clue what it is they are selling.

I personally have never seen that style for American Psycho, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. To me it seems like a promotional image that people are trying to claim is a "poster". I thought only one person was made for that film, but I don't know 100 percent if that was the case, and don't want to say it doesn't exist when I don't know for sure. If I come across anything that confirms its existence I will advise.

MoviePoster.com IS a legit dealer. They offer originals AND they offer reproductions. They are based in Canada. I am not a fan of MovieGoods.com though, but MoviePoster.com is legit as far as I know. While they do carry inexpensive reprints, the only issue I have with them is the improper titles they give some of their posters as if they don't know the difference between the different styles produced for a film, as well as the differences between domestic as opposed to international versions, etc. But with regards to if they sell original movie posters, yes they do.

Grindhouse sold well, I just watched those two films for the first time. I was extremely disappointed in Deathproof (although Kurt Russell is good in anything he does), and felt Planet Terror was one of the worst films I have ever seen, I turned it off after about 30 minutes. But the poster sold well, Constantine I had in stock but don't have anymore.

Clash of the Titans is looking quite good. There are two different posters out there, the advance style "A" is Worthington holding Medusa's head, the advance style "B" is Worthington on a flying Pegasus. There is a third image out there of the Kraken on it with a small image of the Pegasus flying towards it but I am hearing that it isn't an actual poster, but it was going to be at one time. With the film's release coming in a few weeks, my guess is the final style will basically be one of the advance styles above just with credits on it.

I thank you for the kind words (and the orders too). Yes, the Alice in Wonderland styles are extremely rare, pretty much anything Disney is, but a lot of factors made the Alice posters very difficult to get and quite popular. Yes, they are expensive but with very short supply, and high demand, they will appreciate in value. If anyone has any questions about them, let me know.

Yes for inexpensive frames, Michaels and Aaron Brothers Framing are two good places. They both tend to run coupon specials in their Sunday ads too so you can generally end up getting a 27x40 inch frame for about $20 or so after the coupon. I always go the professional framing route myself but that is just me.

Did you order it from MoviePoster.com or MovieGoods.com? When you order a reprint, you generally get a cheap looking knock-off, nothing more, nothing less. The quality is going to be poor from the start, and simply not worth the money but in the cases where an original is beyond reach for someone cost wise, a reprint is the best way to go if you just want it for the image and not the collectibility aspect. Unfortunately many of the "reproductions" out there are simply made in-house and are nothing more than what you said, taking an image and making an enlargement and printing it out and selling it. This is but one of the reasons I avoid reprints, I have never carried a reproduction and never will. I prefer to cater to the "collectors" out there and not the people that want to tack something up to their walls. Too many other dealers offer those type of posters which are common.

I wish I could help you out with Alien, but I mainly carry 1990 to current and upcoming releases. You may want to try Cinemasterpieces, they may have what you are looking for. The only Alien poster I had was the foil mylar Director's Cut numbered style that was produced but sold out.

Wow, really? I really enjoyed Planet Terror, I've only seen a few parts of Death Proof but it didn't seem like a bad movie.
I can't wait to see Machete! Danny Trejo is awesome.

Do you have both Clash of the Titans styles? I think I'd take either one, both of those posters look excellent.

I'll keep you in my prayers Jon, seems like you were just getting over the flu.

I've already pushed these out of my theatre, now that they bear the incorrect release date, due to the last minute change to present it in 3D.

As far as "Alice" goes, I've seen a Depp only teaser, the collage 3 piece, and they sent us 3 of the "center" posters, with the credits and ratings. I've received bus shelters of both Red Queen and Mad Hatter. They're already sold or spoken for. My Disney rep had no word on the lenticular, which doesn't look like it's going to happen, unfortunately.

We did receive our "toybox" teaser posters for "Toy Story 3" today, and they're gorgeous.

I see this thread is many pages long....

For what it's worth, I buy all my posters from Movieposters.com because they offer a wide selection from originals to reproductions......standard to non-standard sizes at competitive prices.
