Sorry for the crappy photos and the fact that it's wrapped... this one isn't getting put up immediately and keeping it in the plastic for now. Had 3 other frames picked up today, will post photos of them as well.

Hard to see in the photo, but the frame is a dark brown wood, I'm ecstatic with the job they did and am dropping off a couple more to them next month.
Awesome man. Love it. Lets see the other ones.

I think that will cost you $500 now... Only VIP tickets left when last I checked.

Looks like Collider has posted Mondos weekend releases at NYCC. I must get my hands on both Foghorn Leghorn prints, a tree beard and that all seeing eye poster!!

I love that orange Iron Giant poster. May have to keep an eye on ebay for that one.

Here is the link for pics of all of the posters:

I've been keeping an eye on EB as well as eBay. It seems the Shaun of the Dead posters and Iron Giants are the most popular of the bunch.

I'm keeping high hopes for some online drops next week

EDIT: Also if anyone finds out the final run numbers for these please post them here. I haven't had much luck hunting them down

Default Plak It

I decided to plaque mount all my posters via the Plak It service at Costco.

The posters look really nice, and are really built to last. I am going to build a system that has a small ledge on the wall to hold the poster and it pushes into place at the top of the poster against against a light box that will shine lights onto the posters. This will allow them to be easily interchangable. So I guess I am starting the hobby of collecting movie posters now. Great...another avenue to spend my money with this never ending hobby.

There are more pics in my gallery.

So... I had to share these. Not movie related whatsoever, but just got them in the mail and they are absolutely fantastic. I have no idea what they are worth and can't find any info about them online... these are all copyright 1991 or earlier and are originals.

This service is essentially drymounting?

I guess it must be.

Here is a link to their site. I had them done at Costco. $30 - 40 a poster, but they look perfect, and will for a long time. No worry of tearing or scratching.

I am beyond pissed that I didn't go online too much last night. My friend went to NYCC this morning and maybe could have snagged me a Shaun of the Dead one. DAMMIT.

This is Shepard Fairey's print for the movie "They Live."

You have to pick these up from the secondary market, so ebay is the main route... this print in particular typically goes for around $150. There are a couple other color options that go for higher prices.

The frame job cost around $225 as well.

Just ordered this :

Only 90 pieces, figured I should get it asap. haha, a real bummer the poster is a lil small 18x24. But for one of my all time favourite movies, gotta get it! Comes with a cert of authenticity too.

this mondo stuff is so annoying. I understand they have to build the hype. I get it. Halloween poster that only a select bunch can get. Makes it more desirable to the schleps that can't make it (or afford WTF) to the screening.

It's all part of the game. Same goes for the comic con stuff. I'm not sweating it but the game is so old now.

Not exactly a poster but I just had a series of comics framed. Notice a theme? haha
I've collected pretty much all the ones that closest resembles to the original cover.

The ones signed by Carpenter are sure to fetch top dollar since it costs just over $500 for the meet and greet ticket. I was half tempted to go fly down for it since airfare is quite cheap, but it would run at least $800 when it's all said and done, but I would probably eBay the prints.
I'd love one, but that's way too pricey for me.

Holy crap, the Shaun of the Dead prints are awesome!!! I'd love the Friday the 13th and Lord of the Rings as well. Do you think they'll be selling any of these on their website?
