Finally, I was able to be online and get the 2nd Thor 2 poster at a good price. Payed $35 in total: $13 poster + $18 shipping + Exchange rate. Pretty happy with that price.

Whoa... Natalie Portman looks pretty great in the poster... I wish DMR would put that one up!

I did some googling though and didn't really find anything. I was amazed at the custom lightsaber sites but they all run on LED lighting... which makes for a much cooler lightsaber of course, just a lousy main light for a room
Hollywood dressing room bulb lights sound cool actually. Anyways do post pics once you have it all set up!

yup, I figured it was affordable so might as well get it to complement the nemesis (which I got when amazon had it for only $159). I hope I can the licker one fine day though. Thanks for the compliment. haha glad you feel like we have the same tastes too. What else are you into?

Glad you got one. I keep wanting to put this one up but I also have the teaser which I like A LOT but can't pick. You'll love it. ACTUALLY it would go nice with Iron Man 3 final......*idea*

Yea, the Licker is pricey (now since he's sold out). I thought I could still get an Axeman, but those are long gone too.
I'm for sure a sci-fi, fantasy, anime and video game person. Love the Alien Saga (as in Prometheus, Alien, Aliens...so on), Game of Thrones, Marvel, Final Fantasy, Walking Dead, Dead Space, Matrix, Borderlands, Fallout, Lord Of the Rings... so on. Yes of course Star Wars. That's just a glance. Though I collect those Funko Pops vinyl toys like mad, I have the bloody versions of Alien and Predator (and many more).
Also I wanted to ask- you used 27X40 frames on a few of your mondo screen prints with matting am I right???

So I was looking on http://www.moviepostershop.com (I know, I know...I didn't buy anything) and they actually have some DS One Sheets. They don't have many and what they do have are fairly obscure titles (Oblivion, Let Me In, ect). Any chance these are legit or should we just assume they are fakes? Probably should consider the source.

To my knowledge they are the same group who operate Movie Goods and Pop Culture Graphics. On Amazon all of their accounts led to one company...Movie Goods, all "based" out of Nevada. Is there a chance they carry some originals. Sure, but the majority of their stuff is clearly not authentic originals. If you notice they don't specifically say "original" or "reprint", they just list stuff as 27x40 and since most collectors (old and new) know that is the size of a standard one sheet nowadays, some simply don't think twice and order. They really should clearly specify "original" and "reproduction" for each poster but they don't...and you have to think to yourself "Why is that?" It's quite easy to get a high-resolution image off the internet and then print stuff up. I have spoken to people who have ordered from them and some have told me they are nothing but digital prints, enlarged to movie poster size, some have even said they have smelled of ink upon opening the tubes.

Regarding "Oblivion" yes they have some double-sided one sheets listed. Now if they are authentic, they are only hurting themselves by not coming out and stating that. Remember we are talking about companies that have been known to put out double-sided reproductions (Dark Knight "Why So Serious?" teasers and other titles) and flooded eBay with them back in early 2008. If the Oblivion ones were real, why not list that bit of information?

Also, take a look at this one:
http://www.moviepostershop.com/obliv...r-2013/GB43115

They don't bother to mention that the signature isn't real, it's a facsimile signature printed on all of that particular poster which was an IMAX exclusive style but only single-sided ones were made and they were not one-sheet size. I have a box of them, everyone is signed by the director but they are not real signatures. I would think they would state that on their site, but then again, they probably don't even know it's not a real signature.

Oh yeah K5, I hear you on everything. I'm going to order a poster and see just how truly awful they are. I'll be using PayPal so I'm guaranteed to not be given the run around when it's time to send it back.

Is there a chance the Oblivion posters are authentic? Absolutely, but once a dealer starts selling double-sided knockoff's, it's hard to put any faith into them as being legit. Some dealers often get posters at times from theaters employees and sell them on consignment, or they buy them direct from employees, etc so there is always a chance they are the real deal. I am sure you will know when you get your order, you will know what to look for if you know what I mean. Send me a PM when you do get your order and post here as well giving everyone an update. If you planning on buying that "signed" one, remember its not a real signature, and I have those in stock for a whole lot cheaper. $50 for that poster is ridiculously high.

Oh no K5, if I got a DS poster from them it wouldn't be Oblivion, it would be one I already have to compare with. It would strictly be for educational/entertainment purposes only. The poster will be going right back to them.

Go with a newer title that you have already for your comparison test within the last five years.

Default Bernie Wrightson S/N Prints from 20 Eyes....

Just a head's up, 20 Eyes Collective have announced they will be offering limited edition signed & numbered screen prints based on the works of legendary artist Bernie Wrightson. The prints are based on sketches he had down in his sketchbook that have never been used or published. The first print will be based on Creature from the Black Lagoon and goes on sale next week. It also sounds like they will offer another print by him as a surprise later this month. Wrightson has a major following and has been a major influence on a number of artists, I would not be surprised if these sell out fast and slip under the radar for a lot of people.

More info can be found here http://www.20eyesco.com/

Another print just came in!

I managed to get the godzilla mondo print too, but forgot to take pics.

Pacific rm variant:

My personal thoughts on anyone who's keen on getting this print, stick with the original. Variant looks quite washed out, plus in real life, you can barely see Mako's one shoe. Still a very nice print, but I'd definitely recommend going for the original version. Thankfully I paid less than retail for this piece.

Well, I decided not to open the double sided poster I ordered from moviepostershop.com. Why you ask? Well when I told them to make sure they send me an original poster they replied with "we are mainly in the business of helping our customers decorate their walls, not collect. We do not have someone on staff to authenticate the items."

That was good enough for me, I now know that they only sell reprints.

[Show spoiler]
You can't sell you're posters on here... there is a for sale forum on blu-ray.com that has to be used.

Beautiful print, I love the wood variant of it.
