Thanks for posting about it guys, I grabbed one. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but the movie is going to be gigantic so I wanted in my collection. I do hope they are double sided like K5 predicts and that they arrive in mint condition for everyone. That's a double I know.

K5, really awesome of you to hook people up with points so they could get one.

Nabbed a poster as well. Kinda surprised that it was still available. I didn't know about it until I got an email from DMR. (That's what i get for not visiting this thread more often.)

I was suspended after I was attacked by several members on the steelbook thread. You have quite a few nasty people on that thread. Several people kept insisting that they'd go broke or have to not pay other things, because they were paying over $80, for a steelbook release. I innocently suggested passing up the steelbook, if it was going to cause hardship. You would have thought I had said something heinous.

It got so nasty, I had to call one of them a douche, after being called stronger things by 5 or more of them. They made it very clear, that they were also communicating with a moderator, in the same thread!

So I was suspended, and every single comment in the thread, was deleted. INCLUDING the abusive ones that THEY posted, but they were not suspended. They went on to praise and thank the moderator for suspending ME, while they were allowed to remain.

So I assume it helps if you suck up to a moderator. Not happening with me. It's not that serious and there are PLENTY of these types of sites to enjoy.

I vowed to never click on a link to purchase anything again. I go straight to Amazon.

Also, there are people who probably don't even know that it's up yet. Unsure how many DMR go in, they generally don't have many, I would be very surprised if these are still up by Saturday.
I thought many of the other posters on DMR were 500 because they were mini-posters and not full size. I heard this was a full sized poster, so whether it's double sized or not, I figured the higher price was because it's a 27x40 instead of an 11x17.

No, every poster I've gotten from them was full size, double sided except Avengers 2 which was single sided. They were all around 500-600 points.

Is it gone? I don't see it. F..........

Edit: Also, I haven't logged on to Disney Rewards in a while. Do these points expire? Did not know that. I only have 400 now, I had a couple thousand before. God damn it.

You may need to do a manual search to find it.

Hi all! I've been reading this thread for a bit and love the hospitality that is shown.

I've always loved movie posters but have never collected. Got a few from DMR that didn't look all that great so I never bothered hanging them up. Which is unfortunate.

But I did order the Star Wars poster. Even though I've never been a SW fan (don't like or dislike), I really wanted that poster.

So what frames would you all recommend for someone working on a budget? Like, I've got a wife and three kids type of budget, LOL.

Well I'm in the wife and two kids camp and have a hard time swinging custom framing. Custom framing with museum/archival quality mounting and glare free glass will run you in the $100 - $2/3/400 quite likely for a 27x40 poster depending on the number of matts or style of frame you choose.

That pricing often leads to looking at cheaper options and going to stores like Michael's who have more affordable frames with simple cardboard backing, simple black frames, no matting and plexi/plastic rather than glass. You should be able to find those in the <$50 range using Michael's foolish coupon scheme. You do have other options if you are in the states, but I'm not familiar with all the different arts and craft stores. Of course there are also online framing options too... but I can't help a whole lot there either as shipping from those places to Canada is never economical so I haven't gone too far down that path.

Just got my shipping notice from Disney that both SW posters have been mailed. This might be a touchy subject but I do like the Chinese poster because Han is more prominent in it.

Buy Frozen DMR/DMA for like $3 and get 200 points + movie. Also check the Digital Copy forum for them. Usually 100 points are $1 and 200 points $2.
Also check with Kinsella5

Check the Disney thread on digital copies, etc, sometimes people sell points. I had extras last night that my nephews didn't need as they get stuff, but am out as of right now. You should be able to get 100 points for around $1.50 from users on here. Jump on it as I don't think this poster is going to be around much longer.

Yea I know that's why I'm working on it. Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: A real MVP friend came through for me tonight. Poster ordered.

Hey guys I'm new to the movie poster thread. I was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get somewhat cheap frames for 27x40 posters? Went to my local Michaels today and they want like $80 for 2 frames(buy one get one) Just wondering if $40 is the normal rate for frames or if I can do better? Thanks.

Michael's frames are usually on sale for 40%-50%. Yea those there are the $35-$40 range unless sale. Walmart has ones for $18-$22.

Not that you asked but Michael's has the better frame, I had a couple from Walmart and I hate the metal tabs you have to bend.
