Although, I refuse to frame my Star Wars posters as I would really want a better frame lol.
Those frames are good for anything but extended use, the backing is very acidic and eventually the poster will deteriorate. Also the plexiglass isn't UV protected. I would think about putting a valuable or a sentimental poster in one of those.

I'm getting it when they go on sale on Thursday. My best friend just got me the Star Wars one for my birthday and I'm looking for frames for both. Any suggestions?

^ I would have held off if I knew they were going to release signed APs today

I usually just grab the Stockholm Poster Frames by Studio Décor at Michaels when they have 75% off of BOGO coupons. I've done the custom framing for one of my prints but it gets so damn expensive.

Those are 24x36 inches so the nice thing is they will be cheaper to have them framed compared to an original movie poster. I would at least talk to a professional framer and get a quote. Don't have them dry mount it, no matter what. You want them loose between the glass and the backing of the frame. Drymounting is permanent and devalues the print/poster. Ask about UV glass or UV plexiglass and go with an acid-free backing (which should feel a bit coarse to the touch its not generally smooth). Once you have an idea what a professional framer will charge, you can then go other routes such as Michaels Arts & Crafts, Aaron Brother Framing, etc.

Kinsella, you should put this in your signature.

Never Dry-Mount a Poster/Print
Always Use an Acid-Free Backing
Use UV-Glass or UV-Plexiglass
Always Inform Framer it's An Original

I have an odd question. Has anyone ever tried to hang posters on vaulted ceilings? I've thought about doing that with some of my cheaper ones but the only space I have left is in a bonus room with vaulted spackled ceilings.

I have those ceilings and no, I have not.

My ceilings are too high and I think it would be too difficult to hang posters there.

Also, unless your poster is huge, you probably won't see much of it from the ground.

One of my favourite one-sheets is actually a one-sheet of one-sheets.

It is the Star Wars L'Affiche poster of American one-sheets for the first Star Wars trilogy which I have framed in my home theatre.

Kinsella, did they ever make any more of these for other movies?

I am a collector of vintage movie posters and concur with this list of "dos and don'ts" 1000%,

They sold out in literally 1 minute. I had it in my cart and before I could sign out, they were all gone. And then, of course, they immediately went up on ebay for far too much.

My BFF got me the Star Wars for my birthday from eBay and now I have to go to eBay to get the Indiana Jones one as well.

My advice is check eBay well, when a print generally goes on sale and sells out right away, eBay can be flooded and then all the sellers try to undercut each other so it becomes a buyer's market so you may be able to find one priced not too high over cost if you search eBay well enough.

Sorry, that was my fault.

I double-posted after I realized that I was talking about movie posters on the DMR thread.

I have. There's not a ton of them. And people are selling the non-numbered/signed editions for the same price as the ones that are.

Remember though people will list stuff one Bay at all kinds of prices, a real indication of what they are fetching is the sold/completed auctions. You also can try the Expressobeans site, which is dedicated to just prints.

Not sure when the Infinity War poster went up on DMR, but I scrambled to find some points I hadn't redeemed yet to get it.
