Chicagoland people should definitely check out Reel Art in Berwyn. They can find you basically anything you’re looking for. Original, repros, toys, memorabilia. Great little shop. Corey is awesome.

If anyone's looking for original authentic movie posters I just opened an Etsy store and am selling a bunch on there. I have 500+ posters from over the years (late 90's to mid 2000's with a few 80's and recent ones here and there). Not all are posted yet only about 130 so far. I'm in Canada, but will ship worldwide. (Free Shipping in Canada right now)

Another spot I know is avid with selling original, rare posters, especially horror stuff. He's also on Instagram and posts some amazing hauls that usually go up on his site eventually.

Trust me the Mondo prints nowadays are nothing like it was 8-10 years ago when they were at their peak and everyone under the sun wanted them. Many of the artists who were doing prints for them don't seem to be doing them anymore, for reasons unknown. If you haven't already, sign up to the Mondo newsletter, they tend to email everyone the day before, and sometimes will give a time when they will drop, as opposed to before when it was all random.

If there are older Mondo prints or other limited edition prints, you can check out expressobeans.com as that site is dedicated to nothing but limited and timed edition prints. People buy, sell, and trade there and they doing a very good job of keeping the site updated, there is also a pretty detailed forum on there as well.

For original theatrical movie posters any questions you have feel free to private message me, I have been in the poster industry for the past 30 years and I only deal in authentic ones direct from the studios.

Thanks! Guilty as charged. I've got a lot more posters but only so much wall. I really want a Blade Runner Final Cut poster.

I've got a Time Bandits Map that I've never gotten framed too. It's an odd size.

Blade Runner Final Cut had one style made, however there are double-sided originals and single-sided originals for it. The single-sided ones though have a thinner paper stock in my opinion. The double-sided ones are very hard to find and only getting more difficult, thus, prices are going upwards. Originally when the studio was set to release it was scheduled for two cities, New York and Los Angeles and only for a few nights if memory serves me correctly but the demand was so great the extended the run two two weeks and added another twelve cities. When I am set up at conventions, the Final Cut is a very strong seller for me.

Be careful of the knock-off ones out there though. At San Diego Comic-Con in 2007, the year that the Final Cut was released, the studio put out a mini-version of the movie poster however it was just a tad bit different in that it had a hot pink pre-printed artist Drew Stuzan signature on it. There have been people out there who have taken that image and enlarged it to one-sheet size and try to pass it off as the original Final Cut poster, when it isn't, the actual original doesn't feature that pink signature on it.

My mom and I get down to the convention center and realized the tickets were sold out, which was a disappointment.

I went into the mall that is in Downtown Indy and went to Sam Goody, which was a music store back in the day. I wanted to know when Revenge of the Sith's Soundtrack was coming out. After asking the cashier, I turned around and Boom! I found up on a shelf the 27" x 40" double sided Version B Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith Movie poster. Because I couldn't go to the convention, my mom let me buy it. It was wrapped in plastic around a cardboard backing. Eventually, I got a poster frame for it and put it in. And that is how my poster collection started.

Years later, I bought the Teaser poster and Version C Poster (which just had the movie rating of PG-13 on it). And these are all Legit movie posters because Lucasfilm (at the time, not sure if they do it now) has a logo embedded on each poster. Can't remember if it's front or back, but it was there on all 3 posters. I now have over 70 posters and just got a Baroque Portfolio storage holder for my posters.
Can you snap a few photos of your Revenge of the Sith posters because you mentioned the teaser, version B, and version C. Sith to my knowledge only had two styles made, the advance teaser, and the final style which featured the cast and credits so I am curious what the third style is you mentioned. Yes, Lucasfilm had a backlit anti-counterfeit watermark logo embedded into the final style poster, most don't seem to know about it but it is something I have been sharing with collectors since the poster was released. From what I heard he choose to have this watermark on the final style which can be visible under light or looked at from an angle in a well-lit room. it appears right around Padme's head, both the double-sided and single-sided originals feature this on them. So if you ever come across the final style and it's not on the poster, you know something is up. Not sure if it was on the advance teaser. It was also present on the final style for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull but on that, it's a smaller watermark at the bottom of the poster on the back. The watermark logo aspect on posters isn't generally done, I can't think of anything since Indy 4 that has featured it. Disney long ago used to serial # their posters on back, but that stopped long ago.

I can totally do that since I will be putting them in the Portfolio here soon!

Thanks, when you do, remember to check all three for the watermark. I don't think the advance teaser had it, I do know the final style had them though right about center of the poster.

Here is the Lucasfilm Logo on the back of the Final Style (Version C) of Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. The advanced style and Version B (which is the first final poster minus the movie rating of PG-13) are still rolled up and will be in the portfolio soon:

As a special treat, here is the Lucasfilm Logo on the back of the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Poster. I bought this one straight from Lucasfilm back when they had the Indy Jones Shop:

I also bought from the Indy Store back in 2008 the Lucasfilm archives Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom poster. From what I have heard, those were not reprints and were legit posters that are now worth a lot of money. I have this rolled up currently but will be placing it in the portfolio

For those who are not familiar with it, there is a documentary called 24x36 on YouTube that is all about the history of the movie poster. A great watch with a ton of information.

I'm not too far from here - thanks for the recommendation! Checking their Facebook page, this may be a dangerous store for me to step in!

Follow them on Facebook. They will usually post a few times a year when they open up their entire warehouse connected to the store. During these sales posters/toys/comics are usually an additional 20% off. Great little store.

I was in a 2nd hand movie shop tonight and saw the Blu for sale.

Looks interesting, but movie one sheets are not 24 x 36 though.
