Twilight Time's contracts are for a 3-year exclusivity. Once the 3 years are up, and TT hasn't secured a new contract for a reissue, the affected titles are free and clear for someone else to license (or for the studio in question to release themselves).

I did not know that. My apologies for posting what I thought was a legitimate release. I don't know how people get away with stuff like that

Placed my first order w/TT. Harlock and Mysterious Island. That was four days ago, was billed over the weekend, the status of my order as of today is still marked awaiting fulfillment.

Felt slight apprehension.

Sent them a support ticket. Got a quick and polite response. Due to the heavy volume of the sale and April pre-orders, they are running a day or two behind. Also my order apparently shipped this afternoon (with tracking number) in spite of it still being marked awaiting fulfillment. Fair enough.

All in all, a good first impression thanks to helpful CS.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else -

I was waiting for today (pay day) to place my sale order, and had all the releases I was going to buy bookmarked. But since then (only a couple of days ago) Woody Allen's "Radio Days" and "The Purple Rose of Cairo" have both disappeared from the list.

Does this mean Twilight Time has run out of stock?

Thanks

STILL..?!? It's only been 2 days..sheesh. You better stay far away from SAE, if no shipping notice from TT after 2 days bugs you.

They are still in stock on SAE's site, TT's own site doesn't have many of the older releases

Correct - Profuse apologies to UMBRELLA ENT who are nothing to do with any of this - we are obviously completely confused by our Australian counterparts!

I wonder if SONY will re-issue BODY DOUBLE like they did with CHRISTINE. TT's three-year contract runs out in August.

Their contract for THE FURY ended last month. I hope Fox jumps on that one.

Still kicking myself for failing to pick up those two.

Ah okay thanks - alas not at sale prices. It was just strange because they were on TT's site at the start of the sale but have since disappeared.

thanks Widescreenfilmguy

I wonder if those eventually re-releasing The Fury will be able to get their hands on the exclusive Arrow/Carlotta/Shock restoration on the Arrow Blu-ray, though. I believe it will cost them to license this master, so Fox may have to do the restoration from the scratch.

Just wondering has anyone not in America ordered from here? Wondered how the packaging was. Its shocking it costs $14.99 to ship to the UK. I know damn well that should cost no more than $5

Was thinking of Getting John Carpenters Vampires now since its on offer at $19.95

Don't know where you're getting that number. $5? Shipping a 6 ounce package to UK via 1st class international is about $10 to $11. And that's at cost. No handling charge. A internet company is going to have a handling charge because of the added effort it takes to ship overseas. They're going to use a box instead of a envelope which will raise the weight. They have to fill out a customs form. I think $15 for a single BD is about right.

Really sad news, but understood. But once again, this site has pushed away a great insider. Many of us here love TT and their releases, but the naysayers always ruin the party. Thanks for your input TT, and your voice will be missed here by many.

Trolling and or attacking an insider will result in a perm ban. Apologies to Twilight Time...obviously, the site cannot control the actions of a random Internet poster, but we can get rid of him/her.
