Hopefully, Twilight Time are given a nice new master because they won't be able to recycle that one used for the DVD. If it were any other studio I wouldn't worry but it's MGM........

I read a critical piece about the movie (written way before DVD or even VHS) which mentioned the murkiness of the early parts of the film. The writer claimed that it was intentional on the director's part. It was in a book about the films of Karel Reisz.

I wonder if TT might consider a release of GIDGET (1959)? That CinemaScope film has only appeared in P&S on home video. Haven't heard of a foreign release of it, either.

During their last sale I blind bought Swamp Water since everyone said it was amazing. You can add me to that list. The next sale (if its still around) I plan on blind buying Rapture for the same reason. Hopefully Ill be able to add myself to that list as well lol

I was thinking about doing one more Criterion purchase before that sale ended, but now I'm gonna jump into the deep end on this one, as it includes a lot of the Twilight Time movies I still want.

Finally... will bite at $20 on Remo and a few others (Romeo is Bleeding $15, etc... Patience seems to pay off for TT titles, as they always seem to be marked down at a later time anyways. It's too bad that it has come to this, but these consistent sales have really fostered my patience.

Seems TT has a sale on their site also, in addition to the SAE one posted above. I wonder if all the titles on sale are the same at BOTH sites? If so, who has the cheapest shipping seems to be the way to go..

I want Boxcar Bertha and maybe Salvador. Might get them next week. Which studio are the Sinatra movies from? Those are the only other TT releases I want, I believe.

Which Sinatra movies are you referring to? Tony Rome/Lady In Cement & The Detective are Fox titles, but Kings Go Forth is MGM.

For anyone who hasn't seen At Close Range I highly recommend it. Very powerful Crime film.
