I'm thinking about putting a riser under my sub.
My question is whether anyone has fastened their riser to their sub. I was thinking about putting rbber grommets between the sub and riser and then having bolts go through the riser and screw into the holes where the removable feet are. Any thoughts? |

![]() I'm seriously considering this, though. I tested out heights yesterday during lunch with some spare bricks I had lying around and found the best height (which I think will meet the WAF). The bricks were exactly 2 inches. I tried three positions in the room. Each at 2", 4", and 6". At 2", I noticed little difference. At 6", it started to sound a little sloppy. I liked the 4" height. Therefore, 2x4 legs on a 3/4 inch platform, will give me 4.5 inches of lift. I decided on the furniture sliders because the optimal position requires the sub to be moved slightly but the WAF will only allow this during movies since it will pretty much block a doorway. |

I'm not quite done yet. Still need some 1/2" staples and to stain the legs. Oh, and the most important part is missing... The Sub!
![]() Any Opinions on what color to stain the pine legs? We have Honey Oak(I think that's what it is ![]() Sorry for the horrible photos, used the camera on the phone. ![]() ![]() |

To to the top of the wood it's 13 1/2" tall, and the rug adds another 1/2". Debating whether I should add some foam under the carpet as well.
The Sub is black, I'm not to fond of painting the legs that color. :P The front of the sub however, is a light gray. |

I'd add more foam if I could hide it.
![]() ![]() ![]() Just curious, have we had anyone with a 100+ lb sub make a stand? ![]() |
