They're never going to be released again. I don't know why people don't just search out the fan versions out there if you want them. They aren't perfect, but they're a hell of a lot better than the $250 laserdisc set I bought when it was released. I'll never watch the "Special editions" again, but I'm not going to wait for hell to freeze over either to get the originals in HD.

As much as great are the fan versions, I would prefer to have the original films in official releases that I will gladly buy!
I would even pay for $200 for a trilogy box, with the really really really unaltered films, barebones without any extra at all. Not just half-unaltered that I much fear they will be.

I would love to see the two Ewok movies on Blu-ray Disc. I'd also like to see the Holiday Special on BD as well.

For me, I would love the UOT to be announced above all else, but if that doesn't ever happen, I'd be up for better spruced up versions of the films, without all the dumber changes, like the added Jabba scene in Ep IV, the musical number in Jabba's palace in Ep VI, Vader's "Noooo!" in Ep VI, Hayden Christensen as the Anakin force ghost in Ep VI and the celebrations all over the galaxy at the end of Ep VI. Those are probably the worst changes. Dang, they really messed up Ep VI.

Yeah, at least they'd look better. I'm not going to lie. If they put out new Blu-rays, as long as they're not identical to the Complete Saga discs in terms of movies and/or extras, I'll double dip. I'm too hyped not to. Heh

Most 15 year olds and over grew up on the new versions.

I watched a trailer for The Phantom Menace yesterday, and it reminded me how much I loved the movie when it first came out. And then I remembered Jar Jar, the overly long pod racing part, the introduction of midi-chlorians, andlittle (soon to be) orphan Annie's acting, and I physically shuddered. Besides those things though, it's great
