My local trade in stores and the FYE have shelves of used Complete Saga sets that people have sold so I doubt I would get anything for it.
I just think you should own the movies in some way before downloading the despecialized editions, that's all. If you bought them before then it's all good.

Yeah, just reread my post and didn't mean for it to seem so grouchy.

I probably own more versions of Star Wars than I do other films.

Than again the only reason why I've still got the DVD's is for the other cuts and the extras that weren't ported over to the BD's.

I've finally managed to secure all 4 cuts of the OT.

I'm quite proud of that.

I've got:

The limited edition DVD's containing the 2004 Special Editions & the Theatrical Cuts.

DVD copies of the 1997 Special Editions (don't ask where I got them from ).

The BD Complete Saga box set.

I still need to pick up the DVD box set of the PT for the other cuts of TPM & AOTC plus the exclusive DVD extras.

That only leaves the Theatrical Cut of TPM.

I used to have the 1997 Special Editions on Pan & Scan VHS back in the day.

My gateway into the franchise.

Well that and the Rogue Squadron video game.

Ah good times...

That LaserDisc box set looks gorgeous.

No, it's VHS. It's the same art of Vader that was used for the 'Faces' THX edition of Star Wars on laserdisc, that's where your confusion is coming from I think.

Boba Fett sucks!
Does not count.

Yeah you're right.

I got confused because of the artwork.

Boba Fett was cool because he had cool armor and a cool voice.

(I think he had some cool comics at some point too.)

That's pretty much it and I don't see how that's a problem.

Bingo! Because until Lucas gave him a silly death he was a bad as*!

That widescreen VHS boxset of the unaltered versions looked so cool and I am not one who is really into cases, boxes, etc. I remember being at Media Play when it was released - I should have bought it.

I think the LD box is even nicer (never owned it though, stuck with the CLV singles).

There's not been a Star Wars boxset more badass than the Executor VHS tin. It's a thing of beauty.

I can't make up mind mind if I want this or not! I really just want to watch A New Hope but you really can't just have one of the movies. I think I am just going to suck it up and buy this. I did have $56 worth of change I just wrapped up. Do I am only looking to spend $50 out of pocket. Well at least it feels that way. I don't want to buy a digital copy of it either. I like having the product in hand.
