Yes.
Complete Set is 9 (nine) Disks. 1 each for the Movies and 3 for Bonus Features.
Prequel and Original are 3 (three) Disk sets.

Same movie discs in the two sets as in the (Not-So-)Complete Box, with commentaries on each movie. You just miss out on the three Bonus discs. (Which I feel subjectively are pretty much crap anyway. If I had it to do over, I'd buy just the movie sets myself. YMMV.)

Not Blu-ray news...but I think folks will care.

The Board of Directors of Disney met yesterday at Walt Disney World to approve...something. Very strong rumors are that they are/were finally approving a budget to build Star Wars "Land" at the Studios theme park in Orlando, and perhaps Disneyland as well.

Expect some major leaks over the next few weeks...the numbers being rumored are huge investments that park in particular hasn't seen since it opened in 1989.

I expect to go to a theme park with cloned dinosaurs walking around before I get to watch an authorized UOT in an HD release. Or a Cubs World Series win. Or a full The Beatles reunion since two are dead.

I've said it before: the 40th anniversary of the original will be the natural time to bring the OT back (in whatever form the 2012 Lowry 4K 16-bit restoration was in). As much as Disney and Lucasfilm are banking on nostalgia to get arses into seats for Ep VII, they're not gonna slow the momentum of that film (or even invite comparisons) by wheeling out the OT again.

That seems to be the next best opportunity indeed.

As someone else pointed out earlier in this thread, if the unaltered original trilogy gets announced, you will see a separate thread made and A LOT of activity will be present.

Still haven't taken the plunge on the "Star Wars" blu-rays. Waiting till I am sure these aren't getting a redux before the next chapter is released.

Same here. If there will be new and improved (in any way) re-releases of the first six movies before Episode VII hits theaters, I want to know. If there isn't, I'll just go for the Complete Saga box set.
