It's ok man. You're probably too old to begin the training.

No, they went with the canon ending.

As an example I quickly composited the two of Solo. This is just a basic 50/50 blend of the two. The top image is the DVD, middle is the 1080 broadcast and bottom is my blend of the two:

I think it looks quite natural. Just my opinion, but I personally would have absolutely no issues if the Blu-ray releases featured an image like that.

Credit to Paulie's World for the original screenshots.
Yeah, the middle way is the preferred way.

So what do you guys think the chances are that some place (like Best Buy or Target) will have the complete saga for less than ~$110? I'd plan on getting this day one but amazon's $89 price is very attractive, and of course I'd wanna get it ASAP so I'd go for the $11 one-day shipping lol.

I don't know jack, but I have to think this will be around $85 in stores when it's released. You start getting around that $90+ figure, and people will start shying away from purchasing it.

Of course, this is Star Wars, and we've all spent $100s on the various versions and media, so who the hell knows.

I think the $90 that Amazon initially put up is about where you'll see it in stores the week of it's realease. Amazon will probably have lower prices here & there.

Somebody already mentioned what the best bet was: pre-order on Amazon now (you can always cancel the order later). If the price drops for even a day, you'll get the lowest price - and sometimes their price system can screw up.

If somebody is planning on offering it cheaper Day 1 elsewhere, cancel the order and go pick it up in-store/pre-order it from that store to ensure you have a copy.

It's that simple Nobody loses!

Best Buy will likely have it for 89.99 on the first week, then like 120 after that.

For those who have to have it on release day but want the Amazon price (assuming it will be more in stores), just preorder from Amazon, go pick it up from a store on release day (regardless of price), watch that one, and then when your Amazon copy arrives, return that one to the store you picked it up from. It's that simple.

Plus he demonstrates the value of all life, which is an aspect of the symbotic relationships metaphor in the films.
True but why does he have to come with them on Tatoinee. He serves no purpose except causing trouble. Hell most of the movie he is just bumping into things and screaming. None of this adds to the story except to entairtain 4 year olds.

Jar Jar would have been a fine character had he been toned down and not given more screen time then Obi-Wan for crying out loud.

To blend in. I'll admit, I had that question too years back, but I think it makes sense.

Red Letter Media nailed it. It was a classic example of a characters being reversed. Qui-Gon and Jar Jar should have stayed on the ship and Obi-Wan should have been the one to find Anakin and want to train him.

At the end of Revenge of the Sith when Obi-Wan screams "You were my brother Anakin, I loved you" It would have carried more weight if the first two prequels did a better job of potraying them as friends.
