Hayden in RotJ was close to my breaking point. The added Vader dialog pretty much is it... I'm done. Lucas can refilm the damn thing for all I care. I'll find my own way to watch the films that I actually love and have been watching for decades.
I'm going to have to agree. *sigh* I think I'm finally done with "new" Star Wars. I'm just entirely fed up. If it weren't for the deleted scenes, I'd cancel my order. It's just not fun anymore. He's killed it.

I just showed my dad the "No" scene and we had a long discussion. He's the one who always took me to see the films as I was growing up and the one who primarily got me into Star Wars. I'm just really sad about this whole thing.

I've been talking with my best friend about this for weeks: he should just re-film the OT. He's clearly not happy with much of what he did (or HAD to do).

Ugh. We haven't heard anything about the sound mix either. I can't bear to hear how bad THAT is.

Lol now lets see how small of a minority us "conplainers" are. Id say more people will be upset by this than the amount who are pleased.

30th anniversary's coming up... wouldn't shock me. Maybe put some Tin-Tin toys in there to cross-promote.

Honestly, I'm just laughing at this point. It's about to get ugly.
It should become ugly. People need to know what they're buying. These are legitimate quality problems. It's laughable.

One more clarification to some of you - people are canceling their preorders because they're turned off by the color problems and other alterations. There's no anger there. People can think for themselves and make decisions. They shouldn't have to submit and buy the set anyways because "they're HIS movies" or "it's SW on blu." Each consumer should make an informed decision.

Again, stop attacking people and labeling them because they don't feel inclined to buy this set like some of you. They have that right. If you guys are looking at these changes and other issues and really don't care, you are fully entitled, but give up the childish attacks on the "haters" and "whiners." It's really getting old, but I guess since these leaks have confirmed all the suspicions and evidence during the summer, you don't really have much of an argument other than to make baseless claims about the large number of people who have viewed the data and drawn their own conclusions.

edit - above is not directed at Jumpman

I wasn't hating. I just posted the link because the outcry about these changes and things that weren't changed was contained to home theater sites for most of the day.

It's gone beyond that now. This is going to get picked up everywhere and you can bet that Lucasfilm is going watch this reaction big time...because it's not going to be a quite one.

Unlikely. Caue there's a vast majority of people who simply don't care enough to post on websites about this stuff.

They'll see Star Wars on Blu-Ray and just happily buy it because it's available for them to purchase.

George should insert this dialogue over top the final duel in Episode III when Obi-Wan has the higher ground.

"No. NOOOOOOOOOOO!" LMAO! A dramatic scene now turn into comedy.

Vader saying nothing and looking back and forth displayed his internal struggle perfectly (we KNOW exactly what that character is thinking and we don't even see his face...). Lucas killed the tension at the end of Empire with the TMI scene of Vader going to his shuttle, and now he does this. The man has lost his mind.

This is like adding the line: "I'm being burned alive and it hurts very much!" at the end of Revenge of the Sith...lol
Awesome. I couldn't agree more.

Ben's howl is now laughable. I never thought it needed to be changed in 2004 but I accepted that one. The new one sounds like the guy from the tower in the movie Airplane getting goosed by somebody.

And it wasn't a "Quiet One" for the 2004 DVDs either. Yet the majority of the reviews were positive and the copies sold were insane.

Very true, Beast.

It took a few months before the outcry on the '04 release changed. Everyone pretty much gave that release praise initially.

This. Bad and totally unnecessary. If this is legitimate, it is way worse than just having his "return to humanity" implied without sound.

I'm not at all upset that I'm waiting for a nice price drop before purchasing (cancelled my pre-order weeks ago).

I guess you wasn't on the internet in 2004. When the dvds come out there was a huge outcry and it wasn't just on home theater forums. This release has even more pointless changes so I expect a larger outcry this time.

You know, I can tolerate some changes. I kike quite a few to be honest, but its the pointless ones I can't stand. The Kyrat dragon cry was perfectly fine before so why change it? That goes for the other changes like that change.
