Maybe nobody is replying because they either don't live in Los Angeles, or if they do, they haven't seen it out early anywhere yet. It's not like street date being broken in your area is guaranteed or anything. And if it is/was, then you would probably already be familiar with any retailers that commonly break street date and would just go check with them instead of coming on here and chastising everyone for not providing you with information that they don't necessarily have!

He's wanting to know if anyone has found any retailers that have put the Blu-Ray set out early. But only one of his posts actually ever explicitly spelled that out as far as I have seen.

Every post since has pretty much simply been something like "Anyone in Los Angeles hear anything yet?", which really isn't going to make much sense to most people if they didn't see the original post (your post here questioning this is a prime example).

So, it's probably a combination of nobody SEEING anything yet (if they go to a retailer and it's out early, they will see this with their own eyes... not "hear" about it), and people who missed that original post, which has long since been burried, not having any clue what the hell he is talking about in these follow up posts.

I think people from LA should just start replying to his posts with any information about anything that they've heard, even (and especially) if it has nothing to do with the Star Wars BDs, since in 99% of these posts, he isn't specifying what the hell he's waiting to "hear" about anyway.

Between Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, and I'm sure I'm missing a dozen places, depending on where people live. I wouldn't worry whatsoever about not being able to get one. There isn't a single movie that I haven't been able to find somewhere on release day. And a release as big as this, I guarantee you, the big retailers got hundreds of copies for each location.

My suspicion is this is or will be the biggest catalog release in Blu-ray history.

No, there will surely be a 2018 version, but more "enhancements" and probably a new master with a new transfer for all 6 movies that's better than the current blu-rays.

I'll certainly buy it - I do wonder what changes Lucas will put in it. Maybe he's saving all the light-saber fixes for the 2018 version?
