Seriously, though, if it's what I think you're asking that's just a clock letting you know the disc is loading.
No cause the whole movie will play with it up in the corner. Wont go away unless i fast forward then press play. Its a picture of a video camera.

I bought the saga collection from Bestbuy.ca during the Labour Day sale which came to $76 (taxes included). I am wondering if I buy a set in store ($79.99 pre tax) can I return the set I bought on sale once it arrives in place of the $79.99 pre tax set.
I don't know how long shipping will take and I am looking to watch these this weekend.
I don't know if the bar codes are linked to specific stores or prices they were purchased at.
Thanks guys.

Well folks I rented the blurays of episode 4 and 5 on bluray from blockbuster and compared them to the dvd's. This is a moderate upgrade in PQ at best! For anyone wanting to purchase just the original trilogy alone I highly suggest you save your $40. The dvd's hold up remarkably well and I remember when they first came out just how stunning they were. Lucas redid many of the effects as well at the time and the 2004 dvd set was a stellar release. Releasing the same masters in 2011 on bluray not so much. The 2K CGI looked far worse than the optical with model work and I guess we will have to wait till 2015 till the 3-D release and hopefully these films will get 4K scans with the effects redone in 4K. The dvd to bluray comparison is spot on at caps-a-holic. It reminds me of comparing dvd's to bluray when the format first came out, but who would have thought Lucas would be using 7 year old masters for bluray? On the positive side the preqeul trilogy seems to be a worth while upgrade.

Didn't notice any skipping when I watched it earlier on my Oppo 93. I decided to try this scene on my PS3 Slim and Oppo 80 (on a 2nd system), and no skips/audio drops, either.

Got it! Thought you meant it only happened at first when you load them. Maybe my first assessment was correct then?

I noticed pulsating grain, mostly in palpatines office, and a few other places, was a bit distracting.

I just watched TPM on my projector. I actually thought it looked really good for a change. Maybe that's because I remember what a mess the dvd was.

CGI Yoda was much better than the puppet.

Hold the paint side up to your eye and you can see clean through.

Same problem with Episode V and the Documentary Disc. Empire has it in 2 spots, although neither are as large as ANH.
BDs are a bit different from CDs and DVDs so those imperfections shouldn't affect the playability of the disc. As I understand it, BDs have the reflective material layers embedded between the substrate layers and the disc is semi-transparent anyway. The entire label (paint) could be gone and the disc should play just fine.

But this being Star Wars, I can understand your concern with having perfect discs.

I never noticed the dashboard on the Falcon wobble when Han jumped in the driver seat when bolting from Tat before, it may have been Chewy screwin with something at the same time. ( Just an observation )

OMG, I have this SAME problem. And it's ONLY happened to me during Ratatouille and now Star Wars. I must have pressed every button on my remote to make it go away.

WHAT THE HECK IS THAT and WHY IS IT THERE?

Upper right corner, in the same place the loading symbol would show, or reading DVD or Bluray after it loads, it's a very small video camera. I thought it meant ALTERNATE ANGLE like SOMe blurays have two or three camera angles to view (like Moulin Rouge in the Special Features). But Star Wars has NO alternate camera angles.

AgHHHHHHHHH

Stop stating your opinion as fact, many people want to watch episodes 1-3. If you are not into the prequels you should reevaluate why you own star wars in the first place!

Anyone else notice that the James Earl Jones redubbed a line in a New Hope? It is when Vader is talking to Tarkin right before they take Princess Leia out of the holding cell.

Vader says something about Alderan, and stops speaking, then does his hand movements.... Pretty weak job there guys. I can get the timestamp tomorrow if people would like to know.

But on Phantom Menace... Duel of the Fates.... my lord it sounds epic.
