Like I said the Force Speed was there from the Theatrical release. All that was done here was a tweak of the effect.

WTH? This was in the original theatrical cut. Unless they changed the effect. I'll have to watch it to see, but they DID Force Run in the theatrical release.

Edit: Mavrick beat me to it.

There is no new THX calibration tool on any of the discs.

I noticed that a LOT of shots in TESB were out of focus, but most of them when matte paintings were used for backgrounds. In fact, I thought most of the Hoth sequence was really disappointing in terms of PQ. Too much grain, this would have been a case for a gratuitous amount of DNR. The internal hanger bays with the Speeders and especially where the Falcon was sitting during the escape scene, were really blurry to me. Most notably the Falcon shot.

But I think, at least I hope that this has more to do with the way they were shot and have always been, or that we didn't get the best remaster print available. But I think what we're seeing here is the phenonomen we get when we see the flaws in pictures that were always there brought to bare by their presentation in HD. Older films like the Bond films that didn't rely heavily on special effects don't suffer the same problem, but those of this general era in film that do, show those flaws that lower resolution presentations don't reveal. It's almost the same thing we saw when DVD was still a relatively new format in comparing the differences between VHS and DVD.

Someone posted a while back that in ANH, when Aunt Beru reminds Luke to tell Owen to get a translator that speaks Bocci, on previous releases she starts off saying "Tell Uncle if he gets a translator..." but with the blu-ray release, this has changed to "Tell your Uncle if he gets a translator..."

Can anyone confirm this?

I'm supposed to be doing homework, I don't want to pop the blu-rays in

With regard to the audio breakup, I have watched episodes 1 and 2 so far and have noticed it. It's doesn't happen a lot, but it's there. I have a Denon DBP-2010ci. Do we know if it's a manufacturing issue or just the usual "needs a firmware update" thing? I'll check to see if I have the latest, but I was just wondering.

At that time in the writing before Jedi, Leia was not Luke's sister. Lucas decided to make Leia and Luke siblings while writing ROTJ as he did not want to further the saga past episode VI.

Lucas also explains that by Yoda mentioning, 'there is another' it places Luke in peril in that he could possibly die in this episode. If Luke is the last hope then it would matter if he met his fate in the duel with Vader, if there is another, then that someone will take Luke's place.

Wow, you know I don't know. I just watched ANH and didn't pay close enough attention to that. Kind of a pointless change, but nothing to cry over

I just bought STAR WARS the Complete Saga on Blu-ray and it looks and sounds so bloody AWESOME! It's like being 9 yrs old all over again, watching Star Wars for the very first time! I own them on VHS, DVD, and now Blu-Ray and I couldn't be happier! With-out a doubt the best Blu-rays I own! I even think the addition of NOOOOOOO by Darth Vader at the end was a welcome addition, it makes the scene work much better, it makes the transition from the dark side to the light side much more Dramatic. I personally love what George Lucas has done with his Master piece! Now I still believe the Originals theatrical versions should have been included with this box set, not that I would have ever watched them. Just like I don't watch the theatrical versions of the Lord of the Rings any more, the extended versions being so much better. I watch my blu-rays on my 55 inch Samsung, LED, in company with my Marantz, Boston Acoustics, and Velodyne Home Theater... It's going to be a EPIC STAR WARS WEEKEND! Life is so Good! Thank you George Lucas!!!

Just watched Episode 4, and it's probably been mentioned already, but Luke's lightsaber on the Falcon is like white/greenish! How could they mess that up/not fix it? They finally fixed Vader's lightsaber on the death star so it's red in all shots, find it amazing they messed up Luke's. Also, the rocks in front of R2 and the new Obi-wan sound are awful. How the heck does R2 get in and out from those rocks?! Makes no sense. Oh, George. Otherwise I was generally pleased, though the special features seem weirdly sparse, such short interviews. Would've much rather had a comprehensive feature collection than a smattering of "new" features.

Also, I thought in the special edition they had made R2 blue while in the Xwing, but on the BD he looks black again. Am I nuts, or is the blue fix gone?

I thought they only fixed him in ESB?

It's a keepcase. Both the OT and the PT are keepcases, identical to the Firefly Blu-ray TV series set. I purchased the OT set and it's a keepcase, saw the PT, it's the same (as I've ordered that one from the Best Buy website).

Both with slip boxes too.

I'm not used to this word keepcase. What's that? I'm just used to Amaray or just the plain old "plastic box"

Is it as thin as the Firefly set? or the same thickness as the UK set? Because I know a lot of US releases use the slim cases where as we get the same thickness as DVD cases 9 times out of 10 in the UK.

Are many people having problems playing this on the PS3? I've watched TPM and ROTS and didn't notice anything wrong.

Those frames are in the pre-1997 original theatrical version of ANH as well.

What the heck is a keepcase? If you are talking about the box(with yoda or darth vader) that the case goes inside. The correct term is Slipbox.
