Besides, it's not like I'm doing this...

See... now I feel the opposite. It's not only the best of the Prequel films. It's the best Star Wars film, period.

And I agree with why Lucas started with Anakin at 8. The whole separation from his Mother wouldn't have been so tragic if he was older.

Just saying -- maybe your opinion will change over time. Maybe not.
Over time? It's been over 12 years since it came out. Somehow I don't think that my take on the disjointed mess consisting of Galactic C-SPAN, Jar-Jar's bombad bumbling and "Yippie-Skippie Anakin" in a go-kart will ever improve.

I guess if I ever got a severe brain injury, perhaps then I'd change my mind... But my living will clearly states to pull the plug if that were to happen.

Personally, if people wished me dead because "then maybe we'd get the originals" of MY work I'd be pretty pissed off.
Then don't get into the entertainment industry. Anyone who makes that choice automatically agrees to having their abilities criticized by the masses.

I bought People Vs. George Lucas before I bought the blu-ray boxed set. And I'm much more excited to watch it.

Let's compare the number of posts made in this thread and the content and then tell me who's obsessed, mmkay?

Ironic the haters have far more posts than the people who actually bought the set and like the prequels. Just look at the last few pages. "Glass houses" indeed!

Most of mine have been about the OFF TOPIC nature of the crap slung.

That's because most of the PT lovers have yet to walk home from elementary school today.

You're right, "over time" was a poor phrase to use. I should've clarified that maybe if you look at it through a younger person's eyes you'd like it more. Maybe not. You seem adament and closed-minded about it, so there's probably nothing that could change your mind.

I must have missed the part where I said I was an investor.

Did you even read the article Beast? Mr. Lucas was complaining about the intrusions of studios over the final editing with his first two features THX 1138 and American Graffiti. People who were perfectly within their right to ask for changes or give their opinions.

He is perfectly within his right to make the films he finances however he chooses. As we are perfectly within our rights to piss and moan about them....

Or a good character for that matter.
No he was just a bumbling idiot, too bad Qui-Gon wasn't willing to behead him when they met, not sure killing a buffoon like that would've been against the Jedi code.

You kinda missed the message of the film, didn't you? About every lifeform being important in the grand scheme of things.

Not only that, without Jar Jar... the Jedi's would have failed their mission and the Trade Federation would have succeeded.

Yes, he was manipulated later by Palpatine leading him taking power. But so was everyone else in the movies.

If it hadn't been him, it would have been someone else. Just like at the end of RotS where everyone is applauding the end of Democracy.

The Rule is quite simple:

Attack the Post, and not the Poster.

Follow that rule and this NEVER-ENDING and ridiculous argument can go on indefinitely... Deviate from that simple rule, and you'll no longer be able to contribute to this nonsense.

Anyone else notice this gorgeous woman was in Attack of the Clones? Was definitely before she became a well-known actress to be sure. Rose Byrne may be the hottest woman in the SW movies.

Yes, I have noticed but it was hard with all of the noise reduction, grain addition and edge enhancement to tell who she actually was.....

Is that on topic????

Dude, she's as sickeningly anorexic as Keira Knightley...

Now THIS is the hottest woman in the SW movies (excluding Sy Snootles, obviously):

Inventing the world's most unwatchably embarrassing, cringe-worthy CGI parody of an alien Rastafarian was definitely the right choice to get that point across. It's a shame the greatest character in film history was completely swept under the rug after the first film. You'd think, being so integral to the overarching profound message, that he would've continued to feature as a main character. If he had, the Prequel Trilogy as a whole would've gone from a 2.5 out of 10 to a solid 3. Anyway, remember when things just couldn't seem anymore pointless and then suddenly the camera pans to that space llama farting in Jar Jar's face for no reason whatsoever? A hopelessly pointless scene within an even more pointless segment - that's like Inception. Well done I say.

My kids love that part.

Kinda like how I liked the part where C3P0 kicks R2 in ANH, or when Leia calls Chewie a "walking carpet" in ESB, or when the Ewok makes a tarzan call in ROTJ.

There are silly, childish moments in these movies because (I believe at least) George wasn't making them for cynical Internet typists -- he was making them for children.

Some women are actually *naturally* thin. They have small frames and fast metabolisms.

I like women with meat on their bones but I have absolutely no problem with Keira or Rose Byrne's body type. I also find them quite fetching.

It's Chewbacca who does the Tarzan yell. But yes. All of the movies have silly humor bits. They're cornball popcorn movies.

Hell, the little Frog Creature and the Sarlaac both burp after eating in Return of the Jedi also. So gas jokes arn't anything new.
