I guess fans are mostly concerned about confirming the quality.

The close up of Padmé looks great, but the the one of Qui Gon looks terrible, I'm hoping thats not what we see on the Blu...it looks fake to me.

Eight hours? That sounds so ridiculous I'm going to assume you have a source. Where did you hear that?

What you see here is what you get on Blu-ray. Same with the OT.

It's a decent scene in the novel though, but then some things work better on the page than they do on film.
Agreed. It's not in the movie because we are seeing the story from Anakin and the droids vantage point. We need to see Anakin get angered with their (homesteaders) inability to find his mother and his immediate quest for vengeance.

The screenshot is from a rip but it is not manipulated and the same shot on the BD itself looks 99% identical.

This shot is obviously fake. You can see that by comparing it to the others

This just makes me so sad. I've been waiting 10 years for a good Episode I transfer after the Edge Enhancement travesty of the DVD, and this is what Lucasfilm gives us?

Anyone know/remember the time that DNR'ed screenshot is in the film? I can check my BD and see if it actually looks like that.

No one saw this DNR mess coming? Grab a crayon and call yourself gullible. Lucas wanted the PT to be consistent so he took all of the grain out of it and made it "smooth" and grain free like II and III....

I don't doubt this is what we are going to get, AT ALL.

Wasn't Episode I supposed to be a shiny new master for the theatrical release? There were screenshots earlier that were very nice.

The 16th of September needs to hurry up and get here so all this debate can go away about the transfers on these things.

The voice of sanity. It seems to be at the point where they present Anakin to the council judging by the background???

You don't know that. You have not seen the product. So you can't make such a statement
