I mean I know the guy suggesting alpha order was joking, but I don't know how to take this, given the rest of this thread.

Also, in case alphabetical order wasn't the significance, those are ordered by the second movie in OT, second movie in PT, first in OT, first in PT, third in OT, third in PT.
I would say it is a joke on some of the crazy watching order ideas ( godfather 2 flashback scenario )

The holiday special goes in where?

I don't ever want to watch these movies on DVD again.

a)I can get $10 from Amazon (doesn't seem worth the trouble.)

b)I could give them away to my Step-Dad.... He will likely be happy about that but never go to the trouble of watching them. (I think his bday is this weekend too.)

c) I could stash them in the closet. (They are taking up too much space in the library)

d) I could put them in a binder and recycle most of the packaging.

>>>??????????????

If you have Ep IV, and VI on the 2006 LE, let me have them!

I forgot you're also supposed to get an old black-and-white TV and hook it up to a VCR and the the holiday special playing over and over again the whole time. Also you should be playing the soundtrack to "The Matrix Reloaded" (not the score, the one with pop music) playing on your iPod too but only loud enough so you can just barely hear it coming out of your pocket.

It makes a lot more sense than what that hack George Lucas came up with.

Say what you will about the PT, but I have never experienced such an emotional, lump in my throat moment, in any SF movie, than I did in ROTS when Order 66 was implemented and Anakin slaughtered the Younglings. Just saying. It remains my favorite SW movie.

For everyone worried I'm going to throw out the LE's... I don't have those. I have the original DVD release with the silver box and stuff like that.

(Not even the original movies which did in fact make it to DVD but in non-animorphic glory.)

It's even more emotional* if you're watching "Caravan of Courage" and you stop it 45 minutes in, watch that single scene from "Revenge of the Sith" and then resume watching the Ewoks movie again.

It really makes Lucas look like an amateur.

*warning: only guaranteed to work if attempted while eating official Star Wars-branded Pringles potato chips.

I'm still debating on which set to buy, The Complete Saga or The Individual Trilogies...In a sense I feel that the Individual Trilogies Have Better Cover Art, but I wonder if they will have the same equal amount of extras as the The Complete Saga Set, and also if they will have nice artwork on the inside like the Complete Saga does...

They have NO extras aside from the commentaries that run with the movies themselves.

So basically the only way it makes more sense to buy them individually is if you plan on staring at the covers longer than you plan on watching three entire Blu-ray discs of content.

They don't. Just the commentaries. All of the other extras are on additional discs not included if you don't buy the big chunky set.

The Complete Saga is the only set that has the 3 special feature discs, the individual trilogies have just the movies

I'm curious - has The Creator™ ever explicitly endorsed I-VI as an official, intended, legitimate order or are people simply inferring that?
