As I said earlier, even with little quirks like that I prefer the 1-6 order but I'm not really opposed to 4-3.
I'm a supporter of 4-3 for first-time viewers, but I have no problem with 1-6 for someone who has seen it before. I plan to watch it that way because I consider ROTJ the real apex of the series. Everything comes together, all is well in the world again. I also prefer the OT so I'd rather end with something I strongly like. ROTS is also too dark for me to end it on, so I could also definitely watch it: 4-6, 1-6. I could watch the OT over and over.

No because they were being manipulated and deceived by Darth Sidious. Sidious while serving publicly as Sen. Palpatine, set up and encouraged the separatists to fight a civil war, I'm sure promising them riches. He then uses the pretext of the War to assume dictitorial powers and secretly has a clone
army made for him to protect his status both from the separatists and the democratic loyalists in the Imperial Senate.

You're right. Clearly watching them in alphabetical order is a mind-blowingly superior experience that completely undermines the two official orders that the creator of the movies themselves envisioned for three decades.

Rhyming couplets as each pair of films rhyme

A little off topic.

Why are the SW br releases available for rent on BB and Netflix but the LOTR EE bd set is not?

What should I do with my Star Wars DVDs?

I don't ever want to watch these movies on DVD again.

a)I can get $10 from Amazon (doesn't seem worth the trouble.)

b)I could give them away to my Step-Dad.... He will likely be happy about that but never go to the trouble of watching them. (I think his bday is this weekend too.)

c) I could stash them in the closet. (They are taking up too much space in the library)

d) I could put them in a binder and recycle most of the packaging.

>>>??????????????

Not... sure... if... serious...?

I mean I know the guy suggesting alpha order was joking, but I don't know how to take this, given the rest of this thread.

Also, in case alphabetical order wasn't the significance, those are ordered by the second movie in OT, second movie in PT, first in OT, first in PT, third in OT, third in PT.

Oh and that order is loosely: 213, which is the area code repped by Snoop, Nate Dogg and Warren G!

Sweden ROTJ CGI'd

Hey people!

Heads up! In the scene in ROTJ where Han, Leia, 3PO and R2 try and break into the bunker, there's a moment where R2 has been 'improved' by heavy CGI. It's in fact when R2 is shot and goes bananas, with all his stuff poking here and everywhere... Do check it out. It's the exact moment when all his gear comes out - these are now all new CGI digital effects! Looks ridiculous. Have a look. It stands out very clearly and just does not fit into the 1983 production....

It's called keep them, cause the special features aren't ported to the blu-ray special feature discs, plus they are awesome to collect!!

If that's the case, any of those options that involve actually keeping the DVDs don't make any sense.

Just give 'em to your stepdad. You think it'll make him happy and you don't want them. Done and done.

You're going to need them because the optimal viewing order is:

The Phantom Menace (DVD version)

The Empire Strikes Back ('06 DVD version)

Attack of the Clones (Blu)

R2-D2: Beneath the Dome

1 half of "Return of the Jedi" ('04 DVD edition) followed by the 2nd half of "Revenge of the Sith" taped from a television airing

JJ Abram's "Star Trek"

Blows the intended order right out of the water.
