On Return of the Jedi, if you your Oppo 83 set to "LPCM" the Surround back channels will be silent. Your AVR will still say "MCH PCM 6.1 48khz" but the 6th channels will be mute- You have to set it to bitstream to get them to play.

None of the other films are like this.

The biggest change is replacing TPM's puppet Yoda with CG. Unlike most of the changes made to the OT, this change has been viewed much more positively (probably because TPM's Yoda puppet was creepy and wrong).

In attack of clones , Anakins mother's voice is heard during his premonition.

CGI Yoda is probably the only change everyone likes. Until he does it in the OT , lol.

Is that all or is there any other changes worth mentioning? I've always thought that Palpatine vs. Mace and the Jedi Elite team should of beenl onger. They all died way too fast.

In TPM, he replaced puppet Yoda with the CGI version. The viceroy's view screen was altered, and also the jedi speed effects. Lucas had also extended the pod race for the DVD & Blu-ray versions. There was a short scene added with the air taxi in Coruscant as well.

In AotC, a bluish-green tint was added to the entire film. Anakin's dream sequence about his mother has new sounds added. In the DVD & Blu-ray versions, Anakin's remorse scene after his revenge killings had been extended. Jango Fett's jet pack misfires during his fight with Mace Windu. The scene where Jango kills a Jedi at the arena was also altered. The end sequence with Padme & Anakin holding hands at their wedding was enhanced.

Plus they also had the advantage due to sheer numbers. Not like Jedi are invincible, they're just hard to kill.

This could also be that when Matthew Wood went back to the audio files, the original Beru line was bad, and he needed to use another. From reading about what they did to remaster the sound for ANH, it was re-mixed from scratch with an intent to mirror the original mix as best as possible.

Love the BluRay release, and I agree with the reviewer, I have bigger fish to fry than worrying about Lucas' tinkering...I like some to most of the changes anyway...

But I have a problem: there are audio dropouts throughout Episodes II and IV on my BluRay player. Places where it comes to mind are in AOTC at 31:26 and 31:32, as the transport ship takes off with Anakin, Padme and R2...

I exchanged the complete saga for a new one, and it drops out at the exact same places. I run a Sony BDP and a Denon 2809CI receiver, and I upgraded firmware on the BDP with no effect.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I think Palpatine simply read Anakin's thoughts, same way Vader did to Luke ("Your feeelings for them are strong, especially for...sister...") and Palpy then exploited what he knew.

No that was a force vision of the future. Very different. He was not asleep also when he saw these "visions" on Dagobah.

Finished Jedi. Stiil hate the Ewoks. Why would the Ewoks have clothes big enough to fit Leia? Leia's memories of her mother really don't fit with the prequels.

After watching all the movies again, I find myself really liking the prequels better than I used to.

On to the bonus discs.
