Why thank you! Accepting an alternative opinion of Star Wars on the internet is a compliment of the highest order!

Would suck but still be better than whats out there now. At least there would be no connection to the PT! Boba's voice would be intact, no Hayden Force Ghost.

The Jedi are good and the Sith are evil.

That's how Lucas wrote them.

The Galactic Empire are basically Nazis in space.

There's nothing good about that.
lol okay. lets just agree to disagree

He wasn't arrested for being a Sith, rather for starting a war and artificially prolonging it.
Also for destroying planets and cultures and species because of the war.

And yes, right from Episode 1, we learn that Palpatine subjugated his own HomeWolrd to further his Political Ambitions. He enslaved and killed millions on his own planet to become Supreme Chancellor.
yeah Windu and his friends didn't last long against Palpatine. that was my favourite scene in the whole 6 movies

Yes, fascist dictators often seem popular in news footage. That is because people who oppose them tend to get dead.
no just discussing things.
anyway, i agree some dictators can be bad but if you get a good strong leader it can maybe benefit the people. this isn't the place to have an opposing view lol. thanks though.

i'm not interested in the new Star Wars movies. i'm pretty sure they'll be action/comedy movies like the new Star Treks. i'd rather talk about the older ones

I disagree. You would have a bad CGI Jabba, Luke yelling ahhhhhhh when he jumps down the hole, Greedo shooting first, etc.

Hmmm..um yeah no kidding but I think you missed the point. It would not be related to the PT and that is of the utmost importance. No argument on anything else you said.

I don't see how it being related to the PT has any effect on the movies themselves. Like it or not, the prequels exist. You can't just have the movies titled Episode V and Episode VI without a legitimate reason.

the only way you can watch the theatrical editions are the old laser discs, vhs or the DVD 2 disc sets that had the old laserdisc transfer on there. the Special editions are the only way to the watch the series on blu-ray. the Complete set and the individual 123, 456 sets are IDENTICAL except for the complete set has 3 extra bonus discs.

The separate trilogy discs are the same as the Saga collection as far as I know. And they're all the 2011 Special Editions, not the original theatrical cuts.

In my personal opinion, the edits are not enough to make me enjoy Star Wars any less, and I'd say just watch them on Blu, since they look pretty good (and sound great).

Hope you enjoy them!

+1. Just watch it all as-is and see what you think.

Everybody makes the unaltered trilogy out to be some kind of mythical relic of ultimate purity and bliss, but I personally don't think I can go back to watching it again without missing the added scenes and polished picture quality.

I'm past the point of caring anymore about the changes. A CG rock in-front of R2 is dumb, but whatever.

Just watch the movies in 1 - 6 order and then read Wikipedia.

now that I VEHEMENTLY disagree with. the order is best as 4,5,6 then 1,2,3 too many things get spoiled in the PT that are best watched after the OT
