Also, as for the blue on Hoth, I get it. I've found that using Standard as opposed to Wide for Color Space makes it look more "correct" on many HDTVs. The Wide Color Space adds more color that movies of that time did not have IMHO.

Not sure how accurate these are, but one shows Hoth as blue too:

Somehow the lightsabers at Cloud City look even worse than on the DVDs.

The snow is white in those shots, and thats is weird I agree cuz they never have ever changed colour in print, what with it having a diffrent colour space and all, and more importantly its white on 35mm

Oh and white snow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNJm...ature=youtu.be

This officially licensed Star Wars print (36 x 24 inches) just went live over at Bottleneck Gallery. It's a timed release that ends Sunday

There's also a variant with an edition of 225:

That's nice artwork, but it would bug me that they cut the tips of the lightsabers off when gun barrels and vehicles cross over into the next section.

That's exactly what narked me off too, how come the ships are allowed to do that but the lightsabers tips aren't? Makes it it look kinda odd.

Those are just some tweaked publicity stills which prove nothing. Here's a screenshot from an actual film print:

Rotj has some really big video problems at times. There's a scene when the rebels first get to endor and are peering over some trees at some storm troopers. The detail is horrendous. It looks like a dvd or worse for about 5 seconds. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I also noticed some weird visual thing during certain space scenes. Usually when the millennium falcon is being chased by tie fighters. As they fly across the screen I can see this weird transparent artifacting around the spacecraft.

Oh and I despise all the dumb cgi they added in anh. It's borderline ridiculous at times.

The colours in the first image definitely look better than the second.

I remember reading that Lucasfilm gave Lowry only one month to perform the Colour Correction on The Star Wars Trilogy when they creating the 2004 HD Video Masters therefore due to the lack of time the colours were more altered than corrected.

I can't remember the reason for it (although I know there is one), but I know what you are talking about. However the scene and its dip in resolution (which is borderline VHS level) lasts for a lot longer than 5 seconds.

Overall ROTJ is not only the worst of the OT as a film, but its also the most unstable in terms of its image presentation on BD IMO.

Default "Never-before-seen"—except in the version available throughout the past 4 years

I came to this page trying to find out the difference between the 2011 Star Wars: The Complete Saga Box set (which I have) with the Tatooine scenes on the cover and the 2015 Complete Saga box that just came out last month with Darth Vader on the cover.

This site's overview says the 2015 Vader box contains "never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes," so of course I thought oh, wow, even more new-old stuff, I have to get this, until I double-checked the page for the 2011 Tattoine box and it's exactly the same wording. It's not until I clicked on the hidden user reviews that I find 100% of the 2 reviews are disgruntled buyers who fell for the lack of clarity around this release. This site is at fault for giving the wrong impression, in that the discs are apparently exactly the same and the deleted and alternate scenes were indeed seen four years ago by everyone who got the original box.

I expect more from Blu-ray.com than to give two outwardly different products the same blurb, leading someone to believe those words for a newer product mean additional never-before-seen material. It's really frustrating comparing the various versions that are out there, be they music or movies, particularly with various deluxe and super-deluxe variations of box sets and remastered versions. Amazon puts up the same reviews no matter whether it's a 4K Blu Ray, a VHS tape, or shadow puppets in front of a cave painting. I generally appreciate this site for doing a far better job at pointing out distinctions or lack thereof, but not in this case.

I don't know where to complain and request an editor to correct the overview to indicate that the packaging is apparently the only difference between this and the other set. People commonly blame the studio for repackagings; I blame the sites purportedly presenting (a) review(s) of the product that don't see fit to mention this fact. It's no surprise at all that as the same product is marketed year in and year out, the box changes—it's so for everything from cereal to classic novels—just don't lie and tell us it's "new" and never before seen if it's the exact same content that's been in homes and on shelves for four years.
