But that's what studios do to their most profitable franchises...

Squeeze them until every last penny falls on the ground.

If I didn't see another super hero film for the next 20 years... I would be sooooo happy.

You're in luck, there's a 12 Step program for that. And it's pretty simple too.

All twelve steps are 'don't see any super hero movies'.

They can put it out in select theaters, it doesn't have to be some mahoosive rollout. Save the video release to coincide with Ep VIII and drum up a bit more marketing.

The Marvel movies average between 2 and 3 per year. With Star Wars it's only 1 per year. Not much burnout from that.

That's more than enough for a burnout. That's still a constant barrage in one form or another. They're going to Marvel the sh+t out of it.

I'm greatly encouraged by all the the BB steelbooks in the bargain bins at my local stores. They've been marked down and are all just piled up on each other. I think this is a good message that it's going to take more than repackaging to sell them like they're hoping. If they had been remastered theatrical cuts in those steelbooks, they'd have been gone a long time ago. Hopefully, someone at Disney is getting the message.

The sad part is they're really nice steelbooks... if only they didn't have the crappy version in them.

The individual Steelbooks are not exclusive to Best Buy (they can be found in almost all major retailers). Also, due to pre-existing contracts, Fox handles the home video releases of the six Lucas produced films currently, although Lucasfilm/Disney makes the decisions in terms of how its films are released.

I just looked on the BB website, those steelbooks are going for $17.99, how is that a Bargain Bin price?

It will take longer to get to burnout, but it will probably still happen. When the new trilogy is done and three side movies have already come out am I really going to be excited for Episode X or whatever? Probably not.

I miss the days of 3 years between sequels being the norm, and even that was rare.

I was able to pick up Revenge of the Sith SB today for $9.40. I own the original Star Wars collection but, never bit on the prequels. I think this one has the best PQ/AQ on blu ray so, I thought that I would give it a shot.

Best PQ by a long long way, AQ however is probably the weakest of the prequels.

Really? All the reviews that I have read say that the audio is excellent.

It's still at a high level, don't get me wrong, but for whatever reason it doesn't have the power to match TPM and AOTC, this is the general consensus.

Personally I thought Ep II's mix was always way overblown, Ep III sounds subdued in comparison but it still hits the spot for me (even back in the day I never got the hate for the DVD mix). Ep I is just right though, that's a fantastic mix.

Not if they are done well.

I always found three years between the Star Wars movies to be a very painful wait. Even two years would be.
