Can we hope for all new interviews and documentary with the cast of all 6 movies. With Hamill, Ford, Fisher, Billy De Williams, and the rest who is alive along with Hayden, Liam, Ewan and Natalie Portman and of course Ian McDiarmid. Is it to much to hope for this?

Maybe... if you want to take everyone out of the moment with a pointless and unnecessary line of dialogue.

Also Non-Anamorphic. So you may as well just hang onto the DVD copies from a few years ago.

Did anyone answer this question yet?:

So since the "Saga Collection" is 9 discs, and the trilogy sets are only 6 total, does that mean you have to buy the whole shebang to get the extra features? That's what it seems like to me.

Why is it so hard for them to put the original versions along with the edited versions..... makes no sense to me.

It then would truly be "complete".

It would require extensive remastering of the originals. So yes, it is too much to ask. The set is complete, of the approved cuts.

Already preordered btw.
Probably. If you want all six, it's a good deal anyway. I'm going for the 9 disc set, since I love bonus features and all six films.

Does anyone think there will be any 3D easter eggs with the set or possibly a 3D trailer?

That's the same as calling someone "not being a fan of the Godfather movies" because they didn't like or buy Godfather 3.

You can be a big fan as any other fan - just because you don't like the prequels or better yet, not buying the prequels, it doesn't make one less of a fan. There are mega nerd fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, Matrix, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings who don't buy one piece of merchandise (dvds, blu-rays, toys, posters, etc.) from these movies. It doesn't make them less of a fan.

End of story.

It's the 'end of story' until Lucas decides to go back to it again. It's a major miss on his part. That's the real story.

Anakin Pwas cocky and believed himself to be the superior fighter. Note he even makes a comment that he believes himself a better swordsman than Yoda earlier in the film. Which Obi-Wan attempts to humble him for. Anakin was overconfident, much like Sidious/Palpy in RotJ. Obi-Wan warned him off, but Anakin... in his emotional state chose to push the attack and lost his limbs for it. It couldn't be more simple.

I wish Ridley Scott would school George Lucas (the 5-disc, many versioned Blade Runner blu-ray).

It is about preservation, that is why they should be done. It may not be his "original vision" however the film is history and made history. That history should be preserved the same as black and white films. The guy went out and spent 13,000 dollars in one day on his button up shirts. So, don't even try to tell me he couldn't do it easily.

That was not the purpose of my comment. The purpose was to explain that if he is worried about money, he will make it back quite easily because most people will buy them.

Yes, people bring it up because it is a fact. Film preservation means all films, including the Original Theatrical version of Star Wars.

And the lightsabers aren't pink if your TV is adjusted correctly. They have always appeared red when I watch them.
Part of the purpose of the Special Editions was to fix some of the saber colors, it is a fact. However, they really weren't fixed much. If you watch the Prequels you will notice the sabers are very red and vibrant. Then put in the Originals, especially A New Hope, and the sabers are faded and half pinkish. Sometimes nearly just white. If you can add in a CG Jabba then you can fix the sabers and upgrade them. It is not my television, its that way on everything and has been since they were re-released.

Yes, however that does not mean they went in and redid the entire movie. I have read it has indeed been done fully, but no confirmation about it. The only footage seen and that has been used was the test footage they used before Attack of the Clones. It will be a nice surprise if the CG upgrade is indeed on the Blu Ray.

Who knows if all the connecting scenes for the deleted footage was even filmed at the time of production.
Especially stuff that was cut early on or reused for the SE release. And who knows what condition they're in.
It could be done very easily. There are only a few scenes per movie and it wouldn't take up much space. You could watch the movies in "production mode" with the deleted scenes where they were meant to be placed. It doesn't matter if they are finished or not, it would be nice to watch them in the place they were meant to be. I have cuts of the Prequels on DVD with all the deleted scenes added back in.

Pre-ordered the 9 disc set, can't see why anyone who's a fan would not want all of the movies. I suspect many of the voices out there saying they won't get the prequels are going to get them anyway, they just won't tell anyone here.

Preordered the complete set from Amazon. While I'd like to have the original cuts too..I can't pass this up. Most of the changes to the originals don't bother me.

I've slightly complained about the Alien Quadrilogy and still think it is priced too high which is why I havent got it yet and people blasted me for being cheap for not wanting to spend 70 dollars for 4 Alien movies. Then Star Wars which is 100 times starts off at a price that is even better value. That is what I am waiting for on the Aliens Set. I can't wait for September.
