The Disney episodes are very focused on introducing new characters like BB-8.

That's a good thing. Better underused than butchered.

One thing about R2D2 is that he could really keep a secret.

Very cool. As much I'd love to see more animated SW, this will probably be as much as we get like this.

We need an R2D2: A Star Wars Story, from his creation on the assembly line throughout his grand adventures. Did Vader ever seek out his droids and probe them for information or were both R2's & C3PO's minds erased to prevent such things from happening?

I remember reading about the Parbot documentary and seeing a snippet of it online several years back, but I never imagined that the entire thing would make it out into the wild...

Always great to see ‘new’ behind-the-scenes material from the classic trilogy - especially when it’s my favourite chapter.

Relevant material such as this should have made it to the Blu-ray box set instead of pointless filler like STAR WARS parodies and featurettes on CGI dinosaurs.

How legit is this?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...u-ray_Releases

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi being released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray on January 15th next year. There hasn't been any word of the Original Trilogy being restored in 4K.

It's from Wikipedia so...not legit.

EDIT: And I've taken care of removing them. I wonder if these edits are made by the same guy who claims the Simpsons Season 19 was coming to DVD this December (even though Al Jean debunked it on twitter).

Wikipedia could say Yoda shot first, and someone out there would believe it.

It is unusual though because if the Star Wars Trilogy is actually being released onto Ultra HD 4K Blu-Ray next January, there would have been a major announcement by now.

They should put their time and money into restoring the Theatrical Cuts of the Original Trilogy in 4K and then releasing those onto Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD.
