There's a reason for that. I can't find it now, but there's a YouTube video out there that analyzes the soundtrack. I can't remember exact details, but they may have taken part of the main Star Wars theme and "reversed" it.

More like "Why use iTunes???"

Rogue One's score grew on me as well. It was done in a hurry since Giacchino was a last minute replacement for Desplat.

Same. There's so much of it that I love. It's also, I believe, the first instance of a solo piano used in any SW score ever. It should use more of it.

The film versions they rebuilt the album presentations with sound amazing! Save for a few examples like the final track on Phantom Menace (a much more haphazard take, IMHO) everything is just better. Love the more prominent vocals/drums in the action cues on Revenge of the Sith, for instance.

If you just mean the post Disney acquisition movies themselves, they have their moments. These HiRes 24bit/192kHz versions of the original saga are probably still ~$12 bucks each and totally worth it if you’ve got the equipment to appreciate them on.

I’ve used plenty of other media players but iTunes has my preferred interface and sorting options that actually work. And it’s how I get CD quality music on iPhone without a garbage third party app.

For what it's worth, new Amazon listings are up for Star Wars Episodes 5-6 from Disney:

https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Epi.../dp/B07TLPBC22

https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Epi.../dp/B07TPYX1TP

We all know 5-6 and the prequels were all set to go to Disney, even before their Fox buyout, so this is probably a reissue of the existing discs. A New Hope was still going to be with Fox indefinitely, so it looks like 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and Walt Disney Home Entertainment haven't merged just yet.

Weird that Star Wars or the bastardized version, A New Hope, isn't up.

Not yet, but it's scheduled for the same day. You can order it from Bull Moose if you'd like:

... or maybe B&N:

I'm just dying to see what the new covers will look like!

And say what you want but even though they're now owned by Disney, I feel I-VI will still be coming through Fox.

Fixed. The later part of the URL was truncated, but you can also find it under "view all available formats & additions"

The rights to 1-3, 5-6 are supposed to actually revert to Disney about now though. A New Hope should be the only film that "Fox" has the rights to.

Yeah, but Disney now has the rights to Fox.

Maybe now they can restore the Fox logo to future versions of 1-3, and 5-6.

I bet these are just what is available to streaming services now with the Disney logo in front of the films and the logo is also now used for the original Star Wars.

I wonder if Disney will remove the fox logo at the opening or if they will keep it since they own fox now

They don't start with the Disney logo, they start with just the Lucasfilm logo.
