What should have happened in the film, is Anakin starts the fight with Obi Wan with the blue one. During the fight, he loses it out of his hand (call back to other films where he's dropped it) then pulls out a red saber that he emperor gave him and the last part of the fight is him using the red one. At the end of the fight Obi Wan goes back to get the blue one which he gives to Luke.

I like your idea. In retrospect it seems a bit odd that Obi-Wan would give Luke a saber that was used to murder a bunch of children.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s further revisions to the OT that’ll be unveiled with the 4K releases. Maybe even the PT as well.

If Lucasfilm is honoring George Lucas’ final cuts, wouldn’t he want to make some final tweaks before he sold the company and the 4K remasters were done? I could totally see that. There’s been revisions on every subsequent format since VHS.

I don't know. I don't think Yoda had enough flips in any of his duels in the prequels. Maybe they could add more flips in the next home video release.
That's my holy grail.

Really? He murdered his father.

Vader "still had some good in him". Why don't you refer to Vader as "Anakin"?

I think people tend not to because, for many fans, the transformation of Anakin into Vader and the supposed duality of one person they were supposed to embody were not very convincing and they appreciate them better as different or separate characters.

Ben Solo's struggle with his own identity and the ambiguity of the character is far more convincing and compelling.

Not sure how many have seen this, but this fan film this makes the fight between Obi Wan and Vader in A New Hope a much better fight. Vader is a lot closer to how he was in Rogue One. Which was just before his fight on the Death Star. Who know, maybe this will be in the next specialized versions

Who did Obi-wan (or "Ben" if you prefer) duel on Mustafar?

Most people would say Anakin, no?

Same for murdering all those younglings.

Who actually gives a s*** if someone refers to Vader as Anakin or Kylo Ren as Ben? As long as it’s understood which character is being talked about I don’t see why it matters in the slightest.

I don’t think of it as a “franchise”. There’s only STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK - the rest is gravy - most of it is spoiled gravy, and likely to make the viewer very sick.

As much as I like these films (OT) and grew up with them; I don’t put them up on a pedestal - they don’t deserve it, they’re not that good. I much prefer the ALIEN films.

Of the two film series; only STAR WARS & THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and ALIEN & ALIENS are truly worthwhile.

How about when people refer to Palpatine as “Sheev”?

That always bugged me, not gonna lie. They did a superb job of opening up Cloud City but having that new window disappear again for the next few shots was just bizarre. Reminds me of all the noise they made about removing the reflection of the snake in the glass in Raiders: they did it perfectly for the main shots of Indy but didn't bother for when Marion falls down into the pit and the reflections are as plain as day. Typical Lucas half-arsing, it really is.

I'd rather that's what he still was in Empire instead of Ian McDiarmid Playing Palpatine Like He's Tranked Out Of His Gourd

The same with A Nightmare on Elm Street. Only 1 and 2 are truly worthwhile. Or Hellraiser, for that matter.

He was knighted: “Darth Vader” before his fateful confrontation with his former master.
