I STILL don't understand how R2 managed to squeeze in through those rocks. It's a very tight space, and his body is too thick to get in there!

What's worse is when he moves out from the cave the rocks are gone again.

Why is George Lucas so stubborn about putting out the unaltered OT, when many other mainstream movie directors allow the release of multiple versions of their movies with no problem? What is so damn hard about giving the people what they want?

Because he’s a plaid-shirted dick. There is no excuse. I’ve heard people say stuff like “He doesn’t owe you anything. They’re his movies.” That’s just an excuse to be a massive a-hole. With that logic anyone who creates or invents something loved by the world should be allowed to withhold their art/invention after a period of time and no one should complain because “They don’t owe you anything.”

At this point I don’t think it’s really he doesn’t want it. Towards the end of his run at Lucasfilm his tone on the subject changed from ‘those versions don’t exist to me anymore’ to ‘it’s gonna cost too much to restore’. Plus he did give the ok for the screening of the original version of the first film at that event the other month ago. If Disney restore and release the OUT I really don’t think he’ll care. It’s not his money anymore.

Same thing happens to one of the Cloud City windows that were added. They pass right by it but when they get to the dining area (where they’re caught by Vader) the original wall is clearly seen in the background.

Show me comparison shots of that, please.

Luke/Ben confrontation? Ben Kenobi's last appearance was in ESB (or ROTS). Did you mean Kylo Ren?

Why does everyone in this forum refer to Kylo Ren as "Ben"? Why do you never call the fight in ESB and ROTJ as being between Luke and Anakin? At least be consistent.

Oh. Fortunately, Adywan's Empire Strikes Back Revisited fixes this continuity error:

Because Ben Solo is Kylo Ren's real name.

I like certain things about the se/04 cuts- namely, the continuity in ESB with the Emperor, Cloud City, replacing Yub Nub (sorry not sorry, **** that song), but so many of the edits were just plain dumb. I didn't even get that annoyed or angry until the bluray releases. Even as someone who still loves Lucas, that was clearly such a "**** you" set

The Victory Celebration is a nice piece of music. Too bad it’s ruined by Jar Jar screaming “Weesa free!” in the middle of it.

Because in my mind he never fully turned to the dark side.

Maybe George Lucas requested that the saber be red. It will also be reflected in the OT as part of the Specialer Edition.
