Damn these are nice. Wonder why I never heard of them at the time.
Yep, those are them. All of my stuff is in storage at the moment so I don't currently have access to mine.

I had pre-ordered the DVDs at Circuit City because of these, and then afterwards I found out about the Best Buy tin which by then had completely sold out.

I ordered all 3 on ebay for under $19 with shipping and taxes. Not a bad deal.

For the OT I have 3 old pan and scan gatefold laserdiscs (they don't have the annoying widescreen bar so artwork is better), the 3 faces laserdiscs, and now those. I kinda like some of the SE artwork on the SE LDs, but the SE label just kills it for me. So I didn't buy them.

And for Phantom Manace I have the VHS boxet (which I elected over the Japanese laserdisc for the swag)

Would like to get the soundtrack vinyls for the prequels, but they cost an arm and a leg.

I've not included some things like music videos and the Web docs as I can't find a list of them all but most of this is available on YouTube or the Star Wars website if you search for them (Except Return of the Ewok, though if anyone knows where I can find that ).

The Making of Star Wars (1977)
SPFX: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Return of the Ewok (1982)
From Star Wars to Jedi: The making of a Saga (1983)
Leonard Maltin George Lucas Interviews (1993)
Don Bies Archive Tour (1993)
R2-D2: Beneath the Dome (2001)
Star Wars: Connections/The Story of Star Wars (2002)
Empire of Dreams (2004)
The Characters of Star Wars (2004)
The Birth of the Lightsaber (2004)
The Force is with Them: The Legacy of Star Wars (2004)
Episode III Preview: The Return of Darth Vader (2004)
The Chosen One (2005)
It’s All for Real: The Stunts of Episode III (2005)
The Wookiees Are Back! (2005)
Animal Icons: Star Wars Creatures (2005)
Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed (2007)
Star Wars Spoofs (2011)
The Creatures of Episode III (2012)
A Final Alliance (2020)
When the original movies were made, ‘special features’ were not a thing. Obviously, web articles did not exist. One of the most informative articles was a Time Magazine article that came out just before The Empire Strikes Back. That is where Lucas talks about the prequels and making the sequels. He was much more open back then, so news articles and television interviews from that time are very informative. I can’t recall everything from the article, but if you can find that article, I think you will be shocked and surprised by its contents. I want to say that is where he mentions that R2D2 and C3PO will be the only ones that will be in all the movies, but I cannot recall where that quote came from.

Harmy messed up jedi when he tinkered with the crossed sabre shot in front of the emperors face. Haven't seen the 4k83

Harmy messed up all of them when he used the Blu-rays as the base.

I already owned future-proof 4K UHD+Blu-ray editions of The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

This morning, I went to Walmart and bought all nine individual combo packs of the new 4K UHD releases of the other movies.

It's going to be so nice never to have to touch the Complete Saga cardboard pages any more.

But you'll still be touching cardboard sleeves.

On a side note, according to the Star Wars comics (which are cannon) Vader found out from Boba Fett about Luke's last name before the events of Empire Strikes Back. So at that point if he says "how can this be" that means he's trying to hide it from the Emperor.

Yeah, someone pointed that out in a different forum years ago, I had that exact same theory; Vader was trying to hide it from Palpatine.

That's not a theory; that's exactly what's happening.

I think I'll still take original Emperor/dialog. Has its faults but overall more fitting

Yeah I’m in a total Star Wars frame of mind and bought the DVDs of the unaltered OT off eBay. Not great looking but it is what it is and glad to have them. Also bought the OT steelbooks to complete that collection. Also with Target B2G1 bought OT 4K and Skywalker Target exclusive Rogue and Sith 4K.

Also at first I thought I got ripped off when I put in the DVDs they looked pretty good but the Greedo Han scene was the revised one. I didn’t realize that the unaltered versions were on the BONUS discs!!

Just curious. Why buy those inferior OT discs when you can download superior versions for free.

If anybody wants the Star Wars: Complete Saga cardboard book edition from 2011 in great condition, then hit me up with an offer via private message, because I don't need mine anymore.

The new 4K UHD discs are notable improvements for all of these movies.

Just wanted the physical discs.

Also to download I’d have to ask my friend to do it as I’m clueless on how to do it...but during Oscar time and now during Theater at home time...nudge nudge wink wink 😉

Quick question: I have the 2011 Saga Set (Book version) and was wondering even though I don't have 4K (and don't foresee getting it for awhile) are the blu-rays in the 4K sets worth the upgrade?

Yes, for IV, V, and VI, but I, II, and III are the exact same BDs that were released in 2011.

I don't believe this is true. I'm not saying there are big differences, but what little they've done to change the color grading, contrast, etc. on the 4K versions of I, II, and III is carried through to the Blu-rays. They're all taken from the new remasters.

One change by Lucas I liked was taking out the Ewok song yup yup and putting in score.

Still don’t like putting young Anakin Force Ghost in that final scene
