One bad-ass cool Yoda cover. One bad-ass cool Vader cover.

And the lame-o Complete Set cover.
Clearly, you should buy the original and prequel trilogies and leave the ultimate set for those who don't care about such things.

I'm obviously buying the Complete Saga, but if I have some money left to spend, I may snag the separate trilogies, that way I can have the Ultimate Collection. I love all 3 boxed set art and would love to have all 3 sets. Now that my friends, is how a crazy Star Wars fan as myself, shows his dedication!!

Yeah, I think on closer inspection/in real life it will look less prequel-centred. I personally prefer its minimalism over the OTT photoshopping of the PT and OT covers. I mean I quite like collage, but filling up every black space on Vader's suit with a new faded picture just seems a bit amateur, and doesn't work for me. His round head with the death star faded onto it as well? eh. Too busy, but admittedly classier looking than the DVDs.

That Complete Saga art is, in my humble opinion, absolutely stunning. It encapsulates everything that the saga is about in one beautiful, simple image. And it's actual ****ing artwork! I couldn't be happier.

I like the image for the Complete Saga; though that is probably just a glorified slip cover that I'll be tossing.

The images for the other two (and possibly inside of the Complete Saga) are crap. Way too busy. Plus, a big image of Yoda's mug for the cover? Really?

If the cover for the OT would have been JUST that image of Vader and nothing else, I would love it.

For the PT I'd like to see an image of Obi-Wan or Anakin.

In the end of course it doesn't matter as long as the movies look good

Come on extended editions. We really need Padme's parent's house back in AOTC and the rebellion scenes back in ROTS.

Covers suck.

But I'm still getting the 9 disc set. I guess the complete collection cover is the least ugly of the three but they are all pretty terrible.

I'm the exact opposite -- I hope they're packaged exactly like that set because I thought it was beautiful. And I have yet to have one scratched BD.

There is an ignore. But you can't ignore replies to posts (people reply to the person you ignore). I have it on for a few...

Does anyone know if they plan on releasing actual video of the movies? So far this has hardly been "all will revealed." Cover art and pictures we have all seen a million times before is pretty lackluster for all the hype surrounding today.

Default Large Art

Looking at it in a bigger format it kind of reminds me of a children's book illustration?

Thank you! I have no clue why everyone has been bashing Ford for a couple pages about how he never gives interviews about SW or anything else. He's typically been a good sport about participating in the DVD extras for Star Wars, Indy, and even Blade Runner - a movie he hated working on! Here's him participating in a fun VH1 special.

From the sound of it, I'd be surprised if this new set included any new interviews with the actors. Maybe new bits with Lucas, Burtt, etc but the bulk of it from interviews conducted for the 2004 DVDs.
