ROBOCOP BD Yanked from release.

just a little Blu-ray-related FYI: Sony has informed us that because the distribution of MGM titles has moved to 20th Century Fox, they'll no longer be releasing the Blu-ray Disc version of RoboCop. It's been pulled from their schedule. Look for it to be rescheduled for release by Fox later this year, once Fox officially announces their first Blu-ray Disc releases.

I've just confirmed with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment that the Blu-ray Disc version of 'Robocop,' initially slated for June and then pushed back to August 15, has been removed from Sony's release schedule entirely.
If you recall, publishing rights for MGM titles recently shifted from Sony to Twentieth Century Fox. This move affected the new version of 'A Fish Called Wanda,' but to date, had not affected any Blu-ray Disc titles. Now it has, and you can expect 'Robocop' to appear either in or shortly after the first wave of Fox Blu-ray Disc films arrives later this year. Ironically, I was planning on publishing my 'Robocop' Blu-ray Disc review Monday morning. Per Sony's request, this review has been permanently shelved. Fear not; those notes won't go to waste. If this rescheduling turns into something more, however unlikely, you can bet there will be comparisons between the Sony and Fox versions when the time comes.

just out of curiosity, robocop wasn't actually released was it? if im correct on that, how is it that so many people know so much about it?

Apprently some review copies made it to the press.

Which further leads me to believe, how could it get to a production peice, and not get released (unless something else is a factor) <--Bad reviews maybe?
