How is it English Dolby 4.0? What would that sound like through receivers?
How come the other languages gets 5.1?

A lot of movies of that era had odd sound mixes.

I seriously doubt those 5.1 mixes are much different

How come they say Robocop is in Detroit, when it is obviously Dallas. but seriously. I don't understand this 4.0 thing myself, but I will just listen to it in PCM uncompressed audio anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

This was covered in the Criterion booklet. Essentially Dallas had a whole bunch of new buildings that looked futuristic, which Detroit didn't. Also it was shot in winter (again, memory cause I'm too lazy to get the disc) and the bitter cold of Michigan winter would make filming hell (though I'm sure Peter Weller would have been happier in that hot suit)
