As someone who hasn't gotten around to getting another Apple TV to go into their bedroom, this is welcome news to me, as it'll mean I will have the TV app on my Roku TV in my bedroom, which means having access to CBS and my TV show purchases.
A nice bit of welcome news this morning! |

According to this FAQ, it will not work on my Roku TV’s.

I was just going to watch some of the Carpool Karaoke episodes I never saw past season 1 for now... are those free or do you have to subscribe to something to be able to watch? |

![]() This is the cheapest device it will work on, $27 delivered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...KIKX0DER&psc=1 And yeah it sucks you don't get the menu's or extras. Perhaps they are saving that for their own overpriced box. |

The set in my bedroom is a 65" plasma which i still enjoy very much so that cheap option will do just fine for me. I tried the app out on the 4K TCL in the other bedroom and everything was great except for the missing features the Apple box has. Nice to be able to watch iTunes stuff of the big screen finally - even if the experience is slightly butchered, for now. I wondered if that may be the case when they announced it was coming to Roku. |

Overpriced is a matter of opinion. I own 3 Roku TVs and 2 Apple TV boxes (well, technically 3, but I don't count the third). Would I prefer they were cheaper? Sure, but I don't regret the money I spent on them.

I was wondering if I was missing something because no matter what buttons I pushed on my remote I couldn't get any extras to show up. Hopefully they fix that soon.

I mainly just wanted to compare video quality. After looking at a sample of Winter Soldier in iTunes , I still find that prime video is the leader in video quality to my eyes.
I thought the app overall was ok and well designed, did not look to much into it. I am on a 2017 Roku Ultra. |
