Default Microsoft tries to sell CNET

Xbox 360 meets PS3, and it's ready to rumble

Quote:
The idea was to showcase the similarities and differences between the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Naturally, I walked into the meeting expecting it to be a highly one-sided taste test. And I wasn't disappointed.

Quote:
They showed me Gears of War and explained how the transformation from 720p to 1080p means that the level of detail in the game nearly matches that of live video.

"This environment really makes you feel like you're there," said Henson.

The problem is that I didn't agree.
Quote:
Similarly, they tried to point out the deficiencies of the PS3's playback of Blu-ray movies, especially in contrast to the stellar HD DVD movie playback on the Xbox.

Again, however, I saw two very high-quality movies, and any differences are those that I think would be noticed only by someone with too much time on their hands.
Set used: Sony Bravia.

Courtesy of Microsoft with a Bravia. Hahaa

Switching lanes. As I read more and more sites it seems like everyone is bashing on the PS3. Especially gamesp**. So many baised people on that site that it's not even funny. People going into the PS3 section and all I hear is MS fanboi's bashing Motostorm. Don't these people have lives? If you don't like the product move on. Xbox 360 offers very good graphics no doubt about it but I think trash talking gets redundant when I see the same gamers ranting on about the same stuff over and over. Maybe these people hate the PS3 so much they like it. But what it looks from, from the weeks I been reading on forums, people are slightly being a little nice towards PS3. Just by a tiny bit. Is it because people that are hating so much they are actually going to purchase the PS3? There is more than FPS shooters out there.

This article doesn't surprise me one bit, Microsoft leaning against their own product. Who wouldn't? They go on about PS3's upscaling/downscaling issue. I really think it's a matter of time for the firmware to be developed. I believe more game developers are more on a timeline for first gen games for new consoles. To get them out there quick for a launch to give them more time for the next gen title and to learn the development kit. We all see progressions on systems and I think it's something to expect.

what is funny to me is that a first gen title in resistance is compared to a third? (fourth?) gen title in gears of war. so, the initial product that hasn't been fully developed yet is as good as the 360's highest touted and greatest game

I just love how Cnet didn't toe the party line and called it how it was, obviously on the troll forums, places like Dailytech, and Engadget there will be an outrage and Cnet will no doubt be called biased towards Sony/against MS despite the fact that their initial review, despite scoring well, was far from rosy.

Are you sure cnet isnt bias towards Sony? Their review of ps3 was so cockeyed and transparent it was laughable.

What, in your opinion, is not a biased stance towards Sony?
