So you're saying that the TV display is telling you that it is only displaying at 60Hz, correct?

Also, what is your blu-ray player and is it set to output a 24Hz signal? How is it connected to the TV? Is the player connected directly to the TV, or does it go through a receiver first?

So are you trying to get it to display it at 120hz? Or not?

The auto motion is just another feature for smoothing out the 120hz. Changing that won't effect whether or not is SHOWING the image in 120hz.

Check the menu or manual to see if you can set the HZ level or if it defaults to a level on certain shows and signals.

I believe that it is running at 120hz all the time, at least my Sony 60A3000 does. It will display what the incoming signal is(when a 24p blu-ray is playing it says so) but does not give the option of choosing what framerate you want to see. Every incoming signal is modified to 120, the native frame rate of the set. 24hz is repeated 5 times to make 120, 60hz is repeated twice to make 120. The set always shows 120hz.
