Warner sneak peeks some upcoming Blu-ray titles - Blu-ray Forum

So Warner has a small Blu-ray pamphlet in the new release of Poltergeist that shows some titles coming soon to Blu-ray. Titles mentioned include:

The Wizard of Oz
JFK
Shawshank Redemption
Being There
Woodstock
The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
King Kong (original)
Gone with the Wind
The Matrix 10th Anniversary
Rush Hour
The Notebook
Amadeus

No specific dates, just coming soon.

Not a bad guess.

Warner has released roughly 40 movies this year with lossless audio, 30 of which have had Dolby TrueHD. The other 10 were all NewLine properties with DTS-HD MA.

It will be interesting to see if future NewLine releases get Dolby or DTS.

Saw this I think in the very same theater I saw Blade Runner, oh those many years ago. Think it was the first movie that I really noticed surround sound. Gee gosh golly I hope they don't f it up.

I agree. It's in the musical portions of BD releases that's easier to discern the differences between lossy and lossless audio and that's where it's much more appreciated. At least for me it is. Now if it doesn't have lossless audio and on top of that it's a digibook release, that's adding insult to injury.

FOTR....I'm surprised we're hearing about this....I sense a box set double dip down the road...look out lol

Wizard of Oz...ya everyone needs this one.
^^^^^----I knew WOO was in the works....glad to hear it's probably coming in '09

Biggest surprise is FOTH & the Matrix. First I've heard of them anyway.
