I haven't seen it yet, but I'm almost certain you are correct.

I grew up watching the original Star Wars trilogy, so I am very partial to SW

That said, I like Trek! It just doesn't match up to Star Wars for me.

Apparently your didn't see Star Wars Episodes I, II, & III. Those were the worst pieces of writing, acting, scifi and character development I have ever seen. Totally boring. The actors who played Anakin could have been replaced by a block of wood and been more animated and believable.

I'm just a Star Trek FAN but Star Wars will always be the best series of movies of all-time to me. So that's pretty much my vote.

Yet you 've watched all 3 of them? Even when they are the worst movies you've ever seen. You know I watch Godfather once, hated it so much, it just wasn't my type of movie. I never bothered watching the other 2, I figured it would be more of the same. Yet everyone who hates Episode 1 stillwent and watch 2 & 3. Then they've spend the last 10 years complaining about it? Did Lucas put a gun to all your heads and force you to go?

Nope. I did. And I still prefer them to most of the OT.

Especially over A New Hope. Which is incredibly slow by comparison.

Better Characters... You mean like Jar jar Binks!!!

No crappy films... Err like I to III

Just better all round... Err, Umm... Like having FTL spaceships with giant thrusters on the back to propel them through space at FTL velocities. At least Star Trek got most (notice I say most, not all) of the physics right.

I'm suprised at how many hate the Star wars prequels, yet no one agrees on the order of best to worst. I personally liked Episode I the best, then Episode III, and lastly Episode II.

Jar Jar Binks is a fantastic character. If you take a step back and understand it.

Sorry, Episode 1 - 3 are fantastic films. I'd rate them over the OT for the most part.

And finally.... you do realize that Star Wars is Science Fantasy right.

It doesn't bother getting bogged down in the annoying technobabble like Star Trek.

No crappy films? Sorry, but the newer films were just awful. Actually, in my opinion, they really went down hill with Return of the Jedi. Ewoks?
