Band of Brothers Weekend - Blu-ray Forum

So my family and I spent this weekend watching Band of Brothers.

Everything that I've read here is true and more. This is one of the most incredible movies/series I've ever watched. The detail and quality is not only stunning, but the audio is totally and completely immersive.

This series is brutal and frank and has given me a renewed appreciation for what our guys went through in WW2...and i've seen every damn war picture there is almost.

This series should be viewed in every American High School.

Thanks to everyone here for inspiring me to purchase this. One of the best entertainment values out there, bar none. In one scene there were artillery bursts over the "band of brothers" Easy Company....the explosions and sound effects...in my 7.1 theater...I felt like I needed to climb into a foxhole. So real....

I'm looking forward to restarting it now I completed my audio upgrades. My wife really loves the series. She knows all the guys names and I know secretly has a crush on Winters.

You watched it in one weekend, wow i couldnt sit down and watch 700+ mins in on weekend, wat i did is watch 2 a nite, such a great series, to me its the best blu out there so far!

Its a great series. As soon and they start selling multi disc blu ray cases I am going to get this. Can't have the tin on my shelf.

Incredible series. The first episode is my favorite but just barely. The fact that they put as the last scene the jump from the planes was jut great.

totally agree, I thought it was better done than most movies let alone a TV series.

I picked it up during the amazon gold box deal too and so did a guy I work with who did not even have a blu ray player at the time.

That's funny cause I bought this series when I didn't have a BD player as well. The price was like low $30s or w/e.

This is the crown jewel of my BD collection, atm. In a close second place is Planet Earth.

I took the OP's advice and started it yesterday. I'm going to try and finish it tonight. I forgot how great it was. Especially the Sobel scenes in the beginning and Cpt Dike being a mutt. I'm getting excited for The Pacific but I don't have HBO so it will be a while until I get to watch it.

I watched it all the way thru Bastogne this weekend. I want to try to finish it either tonight or tomorrow as it is an amazing series!
