I'm looking forward to restarting it now I completed my audio upgrades. My wife really loves the series. She knows all the guys names and I know secretly has a crush on Winters.

Exactly. It is a treasure for sure! Love it! I've watched the series almost 5 times through since release day - 11/11/08. If anyone is still thinking about getting this, think no more! Get it asap.

i got this from half.com for $30, easily the best purchased i have made from that site. This is probably the best blu ray disc i have ever owned.

totally agree, I thought it was better done than most movies let alone a TV series.

I picked it up during the amazon gold box deal too and so did a guy I work with who did not even have a blu ray player at the time.

That's funny cause I bought this series when I didn't have a BD player as well. The price was like low $30s or w/e.

This is the crown jewel of my BD collection, atm. In a close second place is Planet Earth.

I took the OP's advice and started it yesterday. I'm going to try and finish it tonight. I forgot how great it was. Especially the Sobel scenes in the beginning and Cpt Dike being a mutt. I'm getting excited for The Pacific but I don't have HBO so it will be a while until I get to watch it.

I watched it all the way thru Bastogne this weekend. I want to try to finish it either tonight or tomorrow as it is an amazing series!

An awsome series no doubt. I have yet to see it on Blu but trust me I will. Now only if they would release Saving Private Ryan on Blu! This series though is one of Speilbergs best and a big thanks goes out to Tom Hanks for being a producer on this series as well. A must see no doubt about it and a must have on Blu.

I used to watch the dvd at least once a year. I got the BD when it came out for $41 at Deep Discount. It would make wonderful fiction is it werent a true story. Just a gem.
