Unhappy HD Problem

Hello!

I wonder if anyone can help me.

I purchased an external 40gb HD for usage with my PS3 yesterday so I could store all my music on there.
I started copying from the PS3 as all my music is on there and noticed that when it goes on the HD all the album tracks are in alphabetical order which I certainly dont want! I then went on the PC and sorted it out but when i plug the HD back in the PS3 they're still in alphabetical order.
I know the albums on the PS3 go in alphabetical order which I dont mind but its strange the tracks for each album do when put on the HD because on the PS3 it's fine.

Hope someone can help, it's driving me crazy!

If you have the PS3 sort it by album, then it would. The tracks however will be sorted by track number IF there are track numbering info in there. If not, it'll sort by the first character of the song.

So what you need to do is check if the files have track number. The PS3 sort just by track number if that is all you have. If it's multiple discs, then you sort by track number and then disc.

I would like to be able to create folders in the PS3 to sort my music just as I do in my computer but that does not work. All I can hope for is that a future upgrade allows that.
