I have not seen it but it is one of many films that Warner cheaped out on it's only getting a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.

My friend and I liked the film but some of the others with us did not. I thought it was well done with the flavor of the TV series. But, Maxwell Smart the character appeared brighter than the one in the series. There were some cameos for some (or at least 1) of the original characters. If you get the film, see if you recognize him (them).

I enjoyed the movie, but the BD doesn't have lossless audio, so I'm not buying it.

I'm a big fan of the old series, and this wasn't all that true to that series. Carell couldn't deliver some of the key catch-phrases worth a damn. Glad I only paid $5 to see it...it didn't suck, per se`, but I had higher hopes for it.

As far as the Blu-ray release is concerned.

Anne Hathaway = Good

No Lossless Audio in a Lossless world = VERY VERY VERY Bad.

I'm torn and will probably wait until it is in a Buy one Get one deal or the Fifteen dollar rack.

It is up in the air.

It was good fun. Worth a rent, and not because of "audio." Very tired of hearing about WB cheaping out on audio...but mainly because I can't see watching it repeatedly. Don't have to be a fan of the TV series or know anything about the series to enjoy the movie.

WTF is wrong with Warner?
It's not that hard to include lossless, so what are they doing!

No lossless=no buy or rent.

My opinion... rent it.
It had its moments, but it wasn't the classic Get Smart, and it didn't really have anything special that justifies a purchase.

Lame, generic & unfunny. Nearly everything funny was shown in the trailer. Rental only.

I thought this movie was really funny, better than I expected. I will definitely buy this one. Steve Carrell is funny as hell in nearly everything.

I love the TV series, and I really like this too, I thought it was true to the series, and hope they do another one.

Did not know anything of the TV series, but I thought it was a cute film. I would not own it, but if you are a big Anne Hathaway or Steve Carell fan, I'm sure you will love it and want to own it.

I thought the movie had some funny parts, but at the end I was just kinda "meh" about the whole thing. Just my opinion.
